'The Salcombe' (formerly the Salcombe Hotel), is situated in Fore Street, on a prominent site with long water frontage and centrally placed for all amenities. Magnificent views from all flats of the main anchorage, towards South Pool Creek and the beaches at East Portlemouth. Apartments within this attractive building offer central heating if required and use of communal gardens around the property, laundry room, parking for one car per flat, mooring on the pontoon for one dinghy (overall length including motor 5 metres and 2 metres maximum beam) and heated swimming pool available from the Spring Bank Holiday weekend until the end of September. A lift is available from the reception area (on the first floor) to the third and fourth floors only. There is also a restaurant/wine bar within the building.
ACCOMMODATION A spacious, well equipped and recently re-decorated first floor apartment, upgraded to a good standard in preparation for the 2011 season.
LOUNGE/KITCHEN/DINING ROOM Large airy, open plan room with stunning views and access to the large balcony. Fully refurbished kitchen with fitted units, electric hob and oven, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. The dining area has an extending table with six chairs. The lounge has two large sofas, TV, DVD player, iPod docking unit and French sliding doors out to the balcony.
BEDROOMS Four in total. The en suite master bedroom has a pine king-size bed, wardrobe, drawers and door to the balcony. En suite bathroom with bath, shower (over), basin, w.c. and towel rail. The second bedroom at the rear has a pine king-size bed, wardrobe and drawers (this room is adjacent to the entrance to 'Dick and Wills' restaurant which is located on the ground floor below the apartment). There are two further bedrooms - a brightly decorated bunk bedded room for children with wardrobe, and a small single room with drawers and wardrobe. N.B. All bed linen and towels are provided. Please bring your own pool/beach towels.
BATHROOMS In addition to the en suite is a family bathroom with bath, shower (over), basin, w.c. and towel rail.
OUTSIDE Magnificent balcony with wooden chairs and sun loungers. Stunning views across the main anchorage towards South Pool and East Portlemouth
