The property

The Crows Nest is a bright and spacious duplex apartment in central Salcombe, equipped and presented to a good standard throughout.

The comfortably furnished living accommodation is divided over two floors and is ideally suited to couples and family parties looking for quick and easy access to the town, estuary and local sandy beaches. The Crows Nest is in Fore Street (close to the ferry steps and yacht club) above the Salcombe Delicatessen and opposite 'The Salcombe' apartments.

A wide range of pubs, restaurants, galleries and boutiques are all within a few yards walk.

A glimpse of Salcombe estuary from the sitting room and double bedroom, as well as a more elevated view from the decking area. A short flight of stone steps lead up to the entrance at first floor level - this leads into a hallway/dining area off which are stairs up to the bedrooms and bathroom.

A very good sized dining area with large table seating up to six people.

Adjacent to the dining area is a well equipped galley kitchen with modern fitted units, four-ring halogen hob and electric oven, dishwasher, washer/dryer and fridge/freezer.

A bright and tastefully furnished sitting room has two large sofas, pouffe, wooden bookshelf, coffee table and flatscreen TV. Two bedrooms, both on the upper floor.

A master bedroom has a King size bed, bedside units, wardrobe and drawers.

The second bedroom has two single beds and bedside units.

N.B.

All duvets, pillows, bed linen and towels are supplied - tenants need to bring all beach and tea towels.

Also on the second floor is a fully tiled family bathroom with bath, electric shower (over), w.c., wash-hand basin and heated towel rail. To the rear of the property is a dedicated area of decking with views across to East Portlemouth The decking is accessed via a series of stone steps shared with neighbouring properties.

Kingsbridge 7 miles; Dartmouth 21 miles; Plymouth 24 miles; Paignton 26 miles.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
