The property

Hazel Cottage is a particularly attractive farm property with lovely views and parking, recently extended and updated to provide a good standard of accommodation throughout.

Nestled in a peaceful spot, yet just three miles from Salcombe, this is the ideal bolthole for a quiet family holiday. Six steps lead down from the parking area (where there is room to park two cars) to the cottage entrance and lobby.

The cosy sitting room is very comfortable and has a glass door leading to the garden.

The kitchen/dining area is beautifully finished, with a high vaulted roof, lovely views across the fields and farmland, and a dining table for six.

There is also access to the ground floor shower room. Also on the ground floor is a bedroom with double bed.

On the first floor is a second double bedroom with window seat to enjoy the rural views, plus a twin room with zip and link beds which can be set up as a King-size bed (please request at time of booking). At this level there is also a small 'snug' room, ideal for children, with sofa/day-bed, plus a new, fully tiled family bathroom with bath and shower (over). To the rear of the cottage is a large terrace with lovely views, picnic table and built-in barbeque - steps lead down to a mature garden with good-sized lawn, trees and shrubs.

A further courtyard area has an additional picnic table plus a shed/utility room. The cottage is ideal for family groups or couples looking for a cosy, comfortable retreat within easy reach of local beaches and the surrounding countryside.

The attractive village of Malborough boasts a multitude of thatched cottages, a village shop, two excellent country pubs and a thriving post office. It is located just 2 miles from the popular sailing resort of Salcombe, the southernmost town in the South Hams. Boasting a beautiful, scenic coastline, Salcombe is ideal for enjoying sailing, watersports, coastal walking or for simply soaking up the sunshine. Observe the plentiful wildlife in the area, visit several country houses and gardens close by or visit the lovely market town of Kingsbridge. Alternatively, explore the wide open spaces and rocky tors of Dartmoor, just 15 miles away. A perfect holiday location, with much to see and do.
