New for 2012
Miloran is a very well presented semi-detached house ideally set up for one or two couples, or families. The internal accommodation has been extensively refurbished (to 4 Star Gold standard) in preparation for the 2011 season with further works undertaken in the garden to provide a very good-sized decking area and parking for up to 3 cars.
LOCATION The house is situated on Onslow Road, a hilly road leading down into the town. Salcombe's famous waterfront, boutiques, cafes and restaurants are within a 5-10 minute walk (steep in places) whilst North Sands and South Sands beaches are a mile or so away.
VIEWS Good views across towards Batson Creek and South Pool Creek from the front elevation of the house and the decking area.
ENTRANCE Steps lead up from the driveway (off Onslow Road) into the hallway which in turn leads into the sitting room and kitchen.
KITCHEN/DINING ROOM A newly fitted and very well equipped kitchen with range of fitted units, worktops, 4-ring gas hob and electric double oven/grill, larder fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and breakfast bar with two stools. There is a utility area adjacent to the kitchen with washing machine and tumble dryer. A door leads out to the rear terrace. The dining area has a table and leather-seated chairs to seat six - French doors lead out to the lower terrace.
SHOWER ROOM On the ground floor is a new shower room with corner cubicle, power shower, w.c., wash-hand basin and heated towel rail.
SITTING ROOM A very comfortable and attractively furnished sitting room with two sofas, armchair, flatscreen TV with Freeview HD, Blu-ray player and bay window with views towards Batson Creek.
BEDROOMS Two, both on the first floor. The main bedroom has a King-size bed with memory foam mattress, bedside units, drawers, wardrobe and TV/DVD. The second bedroom has two single beds (that can be linked on request to create a super-King size bed), bedside units, drawers, wardrobe and TV/DVD. N.B. All duvets, pillows and bed linen are supplied - tenants need to bring or hire all towels.
DAY ROOM/NURSERY In addition to the two bedrooms is a small third room on the 1st floor to be used as either a nursery or day room for younger children. A travel cot and high chair are supplied, whilst a single futon/day-bed for one additional child (*under 10 years of age) is available on request at a cost of £100.00 per week.
BATH/SHOWER ROOMS In addition to the shower room (above) is a newly fitted family bathroom on the first floor with bath, shower (over), wash-hand basin, w.c. and heated towel rail.
OUTSIDE To the rear of the property is a small terrace area with table and two chairs. Stone steps lead up from the terrace to a sunny decking area with further table and chairs and lovely views across the town and towards the estuary beyond. The steps continue up to the parking area.
PARKING Off road parking for one car on driveway (from Onslow Road) with further space for up to two cars plus small boat trailer at the rear of the house (accessed via a narrow lane off Raleigh Road).
OTHER INFORMATION Karndean flooring throughout the ground floor and wet areas - carpet on stairs and in all bedrooms. Gas fired central heating and instant hot water via combination boiler.
