Osprey House

Osprey House is a delightful detached house within a small, exclusive development of newly constructed properties just a short walk from Thurlestone village and the stunning South Devon coastline.  The property has been very thoughtfully furnished and is equipped and presented to a high standard throughout - it is equally suited to one/two families or perhaps couples looking for a spacious and comfortable retreat within easy reach of this popular holiday destination.

 

LOCATION The house sits within a small development of new properties on the edge of the village.  Thurlestone's famous 4-Star hotel - with its Par 3 golf course, popular restaurant and pub - the village stores/post office and the challenging 18-hole links golf course are around half a mile away.  There are a number of popular beaches nearby whilst the famous sailing waters of Salcombe are within a pleasant 10-15 minute drive.

VIEWS Lovely views across country fields and marshland towards the golf course. This area is a wetland conservation area and many bird species can be seen including of course...the ospreys!

ENTRANCE From the driveway there is level access to the entrance door and into a spacious hallway with beautiful oak flooring throughout.  Off the hallway is a CLOAKROOM with w.c., basin and heated towel rail.

KITCHEN/DINING ROOM On the ground floor is a very large, light and airy kitchen area with beautiful cream units, granite worktops, Rangemaster cooker (with five ring halogen hob, electric double oven and heated drawer), integrated microwave, larder fridge and freezer, and dishwasher. There is also a large central island with additional cupboard units and workspace.  The dining area has a large glass-topped table seating eight comfortably, and doors leading out the terrace and garden.  The adjacent BOOT/UTILITY ROOM has a good sized area set aside for boots/shoes, coats, wetsuits etc., and a separate room with washing machine, tumble dryer, sink and units.  Door out to the rear of the house and garden. 

SITTING ROOM From the dining area two shallow steps lead down to the very well presented and elegantly furnished sitting room with three large sofas, oak coffee table, flat-screen TV with Sky+ (including most Sports and Movie channels), and DVD player.  There is also a contemporary featured wood-burning stove with tiled hearth and surround ( unavailable for use ).  French doors lead out to the terrace and garden.

EN SUITE BEDROOMS Four in total, including three doubles on the first floor. The master bedroom suite has a super-King size bed, bedside units, two sets of drawers, and sliding French doors out to the private balcony with panoramic country views.  There is also a walk-in dressing area with fitted wardrobes and an adjacent en suite shower room with large shower cubicle, power shower, wash-hand basin, w.c.  and heated towel rail.  The second double bedroom has a King-size bed, bedside units, wardrobe/drawers, and a fully tiled en suite bathroom with bath, shower (over), wash-hand basin, w.c. and heated towel rail.  A third bedroom at this level also has a King-size bed, bedside units, fitted wardrobe, drawers and LCD TV (with FreeSat) - the en suite to this bedroom has a large shower cubicle with power shower, wash-hand basin, w.c. and heated towel rail.   On the ground floor is a further double room with King-size bed, bedside units, fitted wardrobes, drawers, LCD TV (with FreeSat) and en suite shower room with large shower cubicle, wash-hand basin, w.c. and heated towel rail.  N.B. All duvets, pillows, bed linen and towels (excluding beach towels) are supplied.

STUDY  On the first floor galleried landing is an open-plan study area with desk and chair (telephone and wireless broadband available at this point)

OUTSIDE To the rear of the house is a good-sized terrace with wooden table, chairs and parasol, as well as a pleasant garden laid mainly to lawn.  At first floor level is a glazed balcony (off master bedroom) with lovely views across towards the golf course

PARKING Off road parking on large, private drive for up to 4 cars

OTHER INFORMATION Beautiful oak flooring throughout the ground floor living areas with carpet on stairs and in all bedrooms.
