Even on cloudy and rainy days, you\u2019ll still find there\u2019s plenty to do that the weather can\u2019t spoil. With the February half-term fast approaching, let\u2019s take a look at what\u2019s on this February half-term in South Devon, as well as some of the all-weather attractions you can enjoy.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s on this February half-term 2020<\/h2>\n

There are plenty of things to do in South Devon throughout the year, but we\u2019ve picked out the best places with extra special plans for this half-term holiday.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

1.Woodlands family theme park \u2013 Super Hero and Princess half-term<\/h3>\n

Located around five miles from Dartmouth, Woodlands is a popular family theme park with both indoor and outdoor activities. The Super Hero and Princess half-term event is back in 2020 between the 15th and 23th of February. Best of all, all kids over 92cm tall will receive a free return ticket if they dress up as their favourite super-hero or princess!<\/p>\n

2. Forest and Beach – half-term Forest Day with archery<\/h3>\n

Being on holiday is all about adventure! What better way to spend the day than exploring and experiencing the forests of South Devon. A hands-on approach to learning fire-lighting, shelter building, outdoor cooking ,making friends and if you are feeling brave, a chance to do a bit of archery. Forest Days are set in a beautiful, peaceful, private forest, where children can explore, play and investigate nature in a safe and secure environment.<\/p>\n

3. Pennywell Farm \u2013 VIP February half-term<\/h3>\n

Are you ready for a February half-term break filled with tea-cup piggy cuddles, live entertainment and activities? Between 15th and 23rd February, you can pay for one admission and visit as many times as you like during the week! A whole half-term break of additional activities and shows are being organised at Pennywell to make your visit even more memorable, and what’s more, you can bottle feed the lambs and goat kids, race the ferrets, and even walk a goat!<\/p>\n

4. National Trust Properties<\/h3>\n

Coleton Fishacre, near Brixham<\/h3>\n

This half term, the team at Coleton Fishacre<\/a> are hosting a ‘Nature’s builders trail’. Spent your time following the nature trail and discover how animals in the garden build their homes, from anthills to wasps nests. Finish the trail by building your own den in the wild play area, followed by a slice of cake from the cafe!<\/p>\n

All-weather attractions for kids and adults<\/h2>\n

Devon has drawn artists from all over the world for many years and there are countless local artists and artisans plying their trade in the county. Visitors to South Devon of all ages also have opportunities to get involved in creating art themselves. Visit Paper Bird Island<\/a> in Salcombe or the Art Caf\u00e9<\/a> in Kingsbridge to try your hand at a range of artistic activities, while China Blue<\/a> in Totnes also offers opportunities for painting ceramics.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s yet more fun to be had for kids at Bumble, a new indoor play centre Fore Street in Kingsbridge, which is aimed at children under seven. There\u2019s a ball pool, climbing frame and slide, plus a chalkboard for artistically-inclined little ones.<\/p>\n

Animal lovers are recommended to pay a visit to Buckfast Butterflies<\/a>, a magical indoor attraction for lovers of these majestic creatures. You\u2019ll find it next to Buckfastleigh Station, the home of the South Devon Railway<\/a>.<\/p>\n
