From the stunning first-floor living space and outdoor terrace (pictured above), you can enjoy breathtaking views of the beaches of East Portlemouth and an especially scenic stretch of the Kingsbridge Estuary.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"fancy-divider\" \/>\n<h2>The sun room at the Old Milking Shed, near Bantham<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2016\/12\/Old-Milking-Shed-1-930x408.jpg\" alt=\"Morning coffee at the Old Milking Shed\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.coastandcountry.co.uk\/cottage-details\/milksh\/\">The Old Milking Shed<\/a> is a tastefully converted barn, located just a short walk away from Bantham Beach, famed for its unforgettable views of Burgh Island, excellent surfing waves and fantastic local walks. The sun room, adjacent to the south-facing garden, is the perfect place to sit with your morning coffee.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"fancy-divider\" \/>\n<h2>Places to have breakfast<\/h2>\n<p>Waking up in South Devon isn\u2019t all about stylish bedrooms and stunning scenery \u2013 there\u2019s also the not-so-small matter of all the delicious, locally-sourced food on your doorstep.<\/p>\n<h2>The Bake House<\/h2>\n<p>Delicious aromas waft along Salcombe\u2019s Fore Street throughout the summer, with the Bake House and other local artisans cooking up fresh treats every day.<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2016\/12\/Bake-House-2-930x408.jpg\" alt=\"The Bake House in Salcombe and Kiingsbridge\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We visited the Bake House to get some especially mouthwatering footage.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2016\/12\/Bake-House-Kingsbridge-930x407.jpg\" alt=\"Croissants at the Bake House in Kingsbridge\" \/><\/p>\n<p>With stores in Kingsbridge and Salcombe, the Bake House is a favourite of many residents and visitors.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"fancy-divider\" \/>\n<h2>Caf\u00e9 Alf Resco<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2016\/12\/Cafe-Alf-Resco-1-930x408.jpg\" alt=\"Cafe Alf Resco\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Caf\u00e9 Alf Resco is Dartmouth\u2019s breakfast specialist. You\u2019ll also find their staff out and about at various South Devon events. We popped over to \u2018Alf\u2019s\u2019 on Lower Street to catch them in action.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"fancy-divider\" \/>\n<h2>Stokeley Caf\u00e9 at Stokeley Farm Shop, near Torcross<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2016\/12\/Stokeley-5-930x408.jpg\" alt=\"An English breakfast at Stokeley Cafe\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Another popular spot to stop off for breakfast, Stokeley Farm Shop near Torcross is Start Bay\u2019s place to go for scrumptious cream teas, cooked breakfasts and much more.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"fancy-divider\" \/>\n<h2>Riverford<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2016\/12\/Riverford-2-930x407.jpg\" alt=\"Riverford is a top South Devon food producer\" \/><\/p>\n<p>From its humble South Devon roots, Riverford Organic Farmers has sprouted to become a renowned nationwide supplier of delicious, healthy produce. The paddleboarding scene in the video was filmed at South Milton Sands, and the paddleboard itself was hired from Tricoean Surf.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"fancy-divider\" \/>\n<h2>Beach yoga at South Sands<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2016\/12\/Beach-yoga-2-930x409.jpg\" alt=\"Beach yoga\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The video also features beach yoga at beautiful South Sands, an unspoilt cove on the edge of Salcombe. Emma Jaulin Yoga (which also offers SUP yoga) runs regular sessions in the Salcombe area and is also open for specially booked private\/group classes.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"fancy-divider\" \/>\n<h2>Walking the dogs at North Sands<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2016\/12\/Dogs-North-Sands-1-930x410.jpg\" alt=\"Walking the dogs at North sands\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A morning walk to North Sands is a great way to start the day. When the tide\u2019s out, there\u2019s plenty of space for your four-legged friend to run around, giving you time to look up and take in the view.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"fancy-divider\" \/>\n<h2>Start Point<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2016\/12\/Start-bay-runner-4-930x407.jpg\" alt=\"Start Point\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The iconic lighthouse at Start Point is well worth a visit, but it\u2019s the natural scenery around this landmark that will really take your breath away. Visit for a leisurely stroll or a challenging jog \u2013 and whatever you do, don\u2019t forget your camera!<\/p>\n<hr class=\"fancy-divider\" \/>\n<h2>Sharpham<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2016\/12\/Sharpham-930x405.jpg\" alt=\"Sharpham\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Sharpham Estate is home to Sharpham Vineyard and Cheese Dairy, where the fruity wines and creamy cheeses are giving long-established French producers a run for their money. Few who visit the vineyard for a tasting tour can bring themselves to leave without a crate of Sharpham\u2019s flagship Dart Valley Reserve.
