This route is also perfect if you\u2019re on holiday with a larger group and some members of the party are slightly disgruntled hikers \u2013 the promise of different eateries keeping even the most resentful walker at bay\u2026<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Set yourself up<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Before you set off, pop into <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thecovedevon.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Cove Caf\u00e9 Bar<\/a> for brunch. This dog-friendly caf\u00e9 bar serves some of the best breakfast foods in the local area, utilising the abundance of delicious Devon ingredients and offering wonderful takes on the classics. This view still takes our breath away and we\u2019re lucky enough to be able to visit all the time!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.coastandcountry.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Resized-Hope-Cove-copy.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2018\/04\/Resized-Hope-Cove-copy.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Follow the path for around 15 minutes until you reach the first gate.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.coastandcountry.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Resized-IMG_1240.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2018\/04\/Resized-IMG_1240.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Go through the gate and then turn right down the lane alongside the white house.<\/p>\n<p>Turn left at the end of this lane where the beach will come into sight.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.coastandcountry.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Resized-IMG_1239.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2018\/04\/Resized-IMG_1239.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Once at the beach, paddle along the shores or explore the rock pools before stopping for a coffee and cake at the <a href=\"http:\/\/beachhousedevon.com\/\">Beachhouse<\/a>. With South Milton Sands being dog-friendly all year round, the Beachhouse often offer complimentary dog treats and they always have water bowls for your pooch so they don\u2019t have to miss out on any of the fun.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.coastandcountry.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Resized-DSC_1215.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2018\/04\/Resized-DSC_1215.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2><strong>South Milton Sands to Thurlestone Village<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.coastandcountry.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Resized-South-Milton-Sands-tables.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2018\/04\/Resized-South-Milton-Sands-tables.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Once you\u2019ve rested your legs and finished your coffee, take your time ambling along the beach.<\/p>\n<p>Follow the steps up towards Links Court and then take the path down the hill towards <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thurlestonegolfclub.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Thurlestone Golf Club<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.coastandcountry.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Resized-thurlestone1006-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2018\/04\/Resized-thurlestone1006-1.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>At the Golf Club, keep going along the South West Coast Path \u2013 but be careful to avoid golfers along the first stretch as they have right of way.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.coastandcountry.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Resized-THURLESTONE-WALK-6TH-JULY-2017-4.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2018\/04\/Resized-THURLESTONE-WALK-6TH-JULY-2017-4.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Veer right and walk across the designated path across the golf course, making your way towards Thurlestone Village where you\u2019ll find <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thurlestone.co.uk\/dining\/the-village-inn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Village Inn<\/a>. The Village Inn is perfect for grabbing an early afternoon drink or, for those who may have opted for the lighter brunch option, this pub does brilliant fish and chips.<\/p>\n<p>From here, you can either amble back the way you came, or if you feel you may have overindulged, there are many local taxis that can help you find your way home!
