Some months in 2025 saw <strong>2%<\/strong> of bookings made <strong>on the holiday start date<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>40%<\/strong> of our bookings were for <strong>short breaks<\/strong> last year. These tools enable owners to maximise their income as well as their booking numbers. This is a significant <strong>8%<\/strong> rise from 32% in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, our <strong>average length of stay<\/strong>\u00a0in 2025 was <strong>5.5 nights<\/strong>, a decrease from <strong>5.6 nights<\/strong> the previous year.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #f2f2f2; padding: 32px 32px 16px 32px; margin-bottom: 16px; border-radius: 10px;\">\n<p><strong>Did you know?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Two short breaks in place of one week-long booking returns on average <strong>148% of the weekly rental<\/strong>. With the weather typically unpredictable, people are hesitant to commit early, preferring to be spontaneous and make the most of sunshine by the coast.<\/p>\n<p>At Coast &amp; Country Cottages, <strong>34%<\/strong> of our bookings in 2025 were made <strong>within four weeks of the holiday start date<\/strong>. This is a <strong>4%<\/strong> increase from 2024, showing a clear shift in the UK holiday let market, with significant growth in the trend for impromptu getaways.<\/p>\n<p>In some months, including August and October, <strong>2%<\/strong> of all our bookings were made between 4pm the day before arrival and 12pm on the day of the holiday start.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #f2f2f2; padding: 32px 32px 16px 32px; margin-bottom: 16px; border-radius: 10px;\">\n<p><strong>Did you know?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lead time on bookings generally increases in line with property size.
