South Devon is home to thousands of easy, moderate and challenging routes, lending themselves to leisurely power-walking, quick jogs, or intense runs! Whether you choose the slightly more difficult terrain found on the breathtaking South West Coast Path, or whether you prefer to stick to the sprawling footpaths and picturesque rural country lanes, here are just a selection of running routes to choose from:<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"in-copy-button\" href=\"http:\/\/www.southdevonaonb.org.uk\/explore\/walks-trails\/hope-cove-to-bolberry-down\">Hope Cove to Bolberry Down<\/a><br \/>\nThis 5 mile route is moderate in difficulty, but takes in some awe-inspiring scenery along the way. A combination of the coast path, and charming Devon lanes, this run is a fabulous way of enjoying the stunning sea views and the unspoilt landscapes this area has to offer. Why not reward yourself when you arrive in the pretty fishing village of Hope Cove, with an ice cream on the beach!<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"in-copy-button\">Kingsbridge to Bowcombe Creek<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This delightful moderate route is around 2.5 miles long, on the outskirts of the traditional market town of Kingsbridge. It follows the beautiful Bowcombe Creek, and the green lanes surrounding it. Enjoy the views over the creek, towards the Kingsbridge estuary, and spot wildlife and rare birds along the way. \u00a0At low tide, a host of waterfowl and wading birds can often be seen \u2013 look carefully and you never know what you might catch a glimpse of!<\/p>\n<p><strong><a class=\"in-copy-button\" href=\"http:\/\/www.southdevonaonb.org.uk\/explore\/walks-trails\/torcross\">Torcross<\/a><br \/>\n<\/strong>Torcross is a village steeped in history, near to the maritime town of Dartmouth. A small settlement at the end of Slapton Sands \u2013 a 3 mile stretch of beautiful coastline \u2013 this fascinating place was used by the army in the lead up to the D-Day landings during the Second World War. It is certainly worth exploring on foot, and given the flat nature of this particular area, it is the perfect spot for less seasoned runners.
