Easton Barns are situated in delightful countryside location within quick and easy access of Bigbury village, and just a couple of miles from the beautiful sandy beaches of Bantham and Bigbury Bay, the River Avon and Burgh Island.  The challenging 18-hole golf course is within a mile or so whilst the market town of Kingsbridge is just 5 miles away - Modbury is a pleasant 10 minute drive on the road towards Plymouth.  The two barns share a utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, w.c., and sink, and a games room with pool table, table tennis, darts and other games.  One well behaved pet is permitted in each barn.

No. 2 is a delightful character barn conversion with exposed beams, ideally suited to a family or a couple with or without a dog!   The property provides comfortable and cosy 3-Star holiday accommodation, while outside there is an attractive courtyard with a fountain and garden with extensive rural views.

“The cottage was in need of a really good clean, everything was grubby! You could see where they had dusted round objects in the bedrooms, and in the living room the cobwebs and dirt were obvious all over. For some strange reason there was a constant cloying smell of soot in the place even though we had the window open upstairs all the time. None of the electric appliances were Pat tested, the Hoover flex was bound up with parcel tape ( not even electrical tape) and the socket behind the front door sparked on a few occasions when switched on. Nothing was said in the discription of the cottage about the bathroom and second bedroom all leading from the first bedroom, this would be okay is you have young children using it, but when occupied with other adults no privacy is possible at all! I would not reccomend this place to anyone.”

Coast & Country Cottages' reply:

Thank you very much for taking the time to feedback on your stay at 2 Lower Easton Barns, though I am clearly disappointed that you didn't find the cottage as clean as we would normally expect. We would have been pleased to address this during your stay had you brought it to our attention at that point. \n\nWhilst it is not a legal requirement for the electrical appliances to be PAT tested, they were, in fact, been tested at the end of 2016. We have alerted the owner to the sparking socket and an electrician is attending. The property will undergo a deep clean imminently and some decoration is also planned for the winter. \n\nThe description on the website does indicate that the second bedroom and bathroom do lead off the main bedroom and the rental prices do reflect this. \n\nWe hope that, despite these issues, you had an enjoyable holiday in the South Hams and look forward to welcoming you back in the future.\n\nKeith Motson\nGeneral Manager
