The Garden Cottage is a delightfully presented and tastefully furnished annexe to the owner’s adjoining 19th Century farmhouse. Set in two acres of beautifully designed and informal gardens, and with uninterrupted South-West facing views of rolling Devon countryside. The cottage provides a luxurious 5-Star retreat for one couple and features a gorgeous en suite double bedroom, stylish sitting room (with direct access to a private terrace), and very well equipped kitchen/dining area, all at ground floor level. A garden gate offers access to a footpath that leads down to the Winking Prawn restaurant, North Sands beach, and the South West Coast Path - the centre of Salcombe, with its numerous restaurants, pubs and cafes is also only a short walk away.
ENTRANCE A private entrance leads into a spacious hallway, with level access to all rooms.
SITTING ROOM A light and sunny South-West facing living space is beautifully presented and designed to make the most of the lovely garden views. The room is stylishly furnished with a large double sofa, armchairs, coffee table, and flatscreen TV. French doors lead out to the private terrace.
KITCHEN/DINING AREA The newly refurbished kitchen has a range of modern units, four-ring Bosch induction hob and electric oven, fridge/freezer, slimline dishwasher, Bosch washing machine and microwave. The dining area has a table seating four guests comfortably.
EN SUITE BEDROOM The elegant and very comfortable double bedroom is beautifully furnished with a super King-size bed (and Vi-Spring mattress), wooden bedside units, and dressing table and wardrobe. The luxury en suite shower room has a Hansgrohe shower, wash-hand basin, w.c. and heated towel rail. N.B. All bed linen, towels and tea towels are supplied – guests need to bring beach towels.
OUTSIDE To the side of the cottage is a private terrace overlooking the garden, furnished with reclining chairs – the perfect spot to enjoy the view and even watch the sun setting in the Summer. Please note that the garden is shared with the owner’s family, friends, two dogs and a sociable cat!
PARKING Private off-road parking available for one car on shared drive
OTHER INFORMATION Oil fired central heating and hot water. Strictly no smoking. One well-behaved dog will be permitted (subject to breed) £30 per week. Wireless broadband internet available. Short-breaks of two nights or more are available outside high season subject to availability. On request a fantastic array of high quality food products can be delivered by Kingsbridge-based ‘Pretty Local’ and unpacked at the cottage prior to your arrival!
