LOCATION The property is approximately half way up Coronation Road in a relatively quiet area of Salcombe, yet only 5-7 minutes’ walk into the town. The famous harbour and estuary, popular with sailors and other watersports enthusiasts, is very close by, whilst the beautiful beaches of East Portlemouth and Millbay can be accessed via a small passenger ferry that runs from the town all year round.
ENTRANCE From the off-road parking area immediately in front of the house the main entrance leads into a lobby with space for coats and shoes. Stairs lead up to the living accommodation on the top two floors of the house.
SITTING ROOM To the front of the property is a comfortably furnished, cosy sitting room with double leather sofa and matching ‘love’ chair, additional armchair, feature gas fire (not in use), TV and DVD player. Access to a small CLOAKROOM with w.c. and wash-hand basin.
KITCHEN/DINING ROOM A newly refurbished kitchen (2017) has a range of attractive cream units and wooden worktop, four-ring halogen hob, integrated oven and microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. French doors open from the kitchen to the terrace and garden to the rear. The spacious dining area features a fireplace with wood-burning stove, and has a table to seat up to six comfortably.
BEDROOMS Three in total. The lovely main double bedroom on the first floor has a new wooden-framed King-size bed (2017), bedside units, wardrobe, drawers and armchair. The small second bedroom at this level has a double bed and tall chest of drawers (N.B. As the bed can only be accessed from one side this room may only be suitable for one adult). On the top floor (built into the roof space) is a very good sized twin bedroom with two single beds, drawers, TV (DVD only), fitted shower and separate w.c./basin. N.B. All duvets, pillows, bed linen and towels (excluding beach towels) are supplied.
BATH/SHOWER ROOMS In addition to the shower above (in twin bedroom), there is stylishly presented, and fully tiled new (2017) bathroom on the first floor, with bath, rainhead and hand-held showers (over), wash-hand basin, w.c. and heated towel rail.
BABY FRIENDLY EQUIPMENT includes travel cot, high chair, changing mat, children's cutlery/crockery etc., toys and games
OUTSIDE To the rear of the property is a level area of terrace with table, six chairs and parasol. Steps lead up to a raised decking area with further garden set of furniture, and beyond to an area of sloping lawn. Barbecue available.
PARKING Off-road parking directly off Coronation Road for one car. Additional/alternative parking is usually available in the nearby long-stay car park (please check daily/weekly costs with the office prior to booking).
