LOCATION The cottage is in Croft Road, a short, narrow cul-de-sac just off Shadycombe Road, and just 5-7 minutes walk into Salcombe. The famous harbour and estuary, popular with sailors and other watersports enthusiasts, is very close by, whilst the beautiful beaches of East Portlemouth and Mill Bay can be accessed via a small passenger ferry that runs from the town all year round.
VIEWS From the master bedroom and larger twin bedroom there are good views across Gould Road and Island Street towards Batson Creek and Snapes Point beyond.
ENTRANCE From Croft Road steps lead up to the entrance and into the ground floor lobby. All the living accommodation is on the ground floor with bedrooms and bathrooms on the two higher levels.
SITTING ROOM To the front of the property is a cosy and very comfortably furnished sitting room with two double sofas, bean bag, window box seat, TV with Freesat, feature fireplace with wood-burning stove.
KITCHEN/DINING ROOM A deceptively spacious, open-plan kitchen and dining area has newly fitted wall and floor units with attractive worktop, four-ring gas hob and electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. A door from the kitchen leads out to the raised terrace at the back of the cottage. A wooden dining table has bench seating and chairs for at least six guests. There is a CLOAKROOM off the kitchen with w.c. and wash-hand basin.
BEDROOMS Three in total. The en suite master bedroom (on the top floor) has a King-size bed, small bedside tables,TV with Freesat and DVD player walk-in area with drawers and hanging rail, and pleasant views across towards Batson Creek. The newly fitted en suite has a shower, wash-hand basin, w.c., heated towel rail and shaver point. On the first floor a good sized twin bedroom has two wooden-framed single beds, bedside tables, drawers and fitted wardrobes. In addition, a smaller twin room at this level has two 2'6 single beds, bedside unit and fitted wardrobe. N.B. All duvets, pillows, bed linen and towels (excluding beach towels) are supplied.
BATH/SHOWER ROOMS In addition to the en suite (above) is a family bathroom with whirlpool bath on the first floor with corner shower unit, bath, wash-hand basin, w.c., heated towel rail and shaver point.
OUTSIDE To the rear of the property steps lead up from the kitchen to a raised terrace with table and chairs. Barbecue available.
PARKING Off-road parking directly outside the cottage for one small/medium sized car only (approx. 4m x 1.8m). Additional/alternative parking is usually available in the nearby long-stay car park (please check daily/weekly costs with the office prior to booking).
OTHER INFORMATION Attractive Karndean flooring in the kitchen and dining areas with carpet in the bedrooms. Original wooden floorboards in the sitting room. Gasfired central heating and hot water. Wireless broadband internet is available. Strictly no smoking or pets permitted.  (N.B. For reasons of comfort the accommodation is not recommended for more than four adults in any one party).

Beautiful property, Newly refurbished and clean. However, I don't think that the property should be advertised as having parking, no matter how small the car is. I feel sorry for the neighbours.

Attractive small cottage. No real parking unless you have a smart car. Ten mins walk into Salcombe. Top floor maybe a bit tricky to access for the slightly infirm. Otherwise a lovely, clean cosy cottage.

Lovely cottage, very comfortable and great location. We loved our walk along Island Street into the town but also really enjoyed being close to Batson's Creek. We managed to squeeze our car into the parking space at the front of the cottage and didn't use it all week but just walked and ferried everywhere. Thanks for a great holiday.

We were the first guests in this newly refurbished property. Everything was spotless and the owner's had obviously spent alot of time thinking about the design. Only minor issue, is parking, unless you drive a tiny smart car consider there no parking at the property, the good news is there is an excellent weekly parking permit available which covers tons of car parks around the area. Some information about the recycling facilities which are located by the car park nearby would have been useful. Neither of these two tiny issues should detract from how lovely are stay was. We will be back! Thankyou it was a wonderful stay.
