Harbourfield is a traditional semi-detached house arranged over three levels, extensively refurbished and equipped to provide a very good standard of accommodation for a large family group or one/two couples (N.B. A maximum of 5 adults are permitted in any party).  Set above the town in a quiet residential area yet only 10 minutes walk from Salcombe's shops, restaurants and quays, the house offers pleasant views from the decking and some of the bedrooms across the town towards Batson Creek, as well as off-road parking for one large or two small cars.

LOCATION Set above the town in a quiet residential area only 10 minutes walk from Salcombe's shops, restaurants and quays.
VIEWS Pleasant views from the decking and rear bedrooms over neighbouring cottages across to Batson Creek and the countryside beyond.
LOUNGE From the entrance hallway into a very comfortable, light and sunny lounge with 2 large sofas, chairs, large wide-screen TV with integrated Freeview HD, video and DVD. A pleasant bay window overlooks the small front garden.
KITCHEN/DINING ROOM An L-shaped room featuring good sized dining area opening out to decking through double-glazed French doors. Large pine table with chairs. The kitchen is well equipped and fitted with a 2-oven AGA (will be switched off in the summer months), 4-ring electric hob and oven, one large fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave.
BEDROOMS Four in total. (On 1st floor) Master bedroom with 4'6" bed, drawers, storage, airing cupboard and lovely views - en suite shower room with power shower, wash-hand basin and w.c. Second, larger double bedroom with King-size, metal- framed bed, wardrobe and drawers. Small single bedroom with 3' bed. On the 2nd floor (attic conversion) a 4th bedroom suitable for children with full-size bunk beds, additional 3' single bed,  TV and Playstation with games. Panoramic views. N.B. All duvets, pillows and bed linen provided - tenants require towels and tea towels.
BATHROOM In addition to the en suite, a family bathroom on the 1st floor with bath, shower (over), wash-hand basin and w.c.
CLOAKROOM On ground floor with wash-hand basin and w.c.
OUTSIDE Lower decking area with table and chairs and small sunny front garden with seat. There is also a further upper decking area with table and chairs and countryside views. Off-road parking for one cars (garage also available by request).
GARAGE Accessible from hallway with washing machine. Full sized table tennis table set up in the garage for tenants to use (all equipment usually available).
PARKING For one car on drive.
OTHER INFORMATION Night storage/instant electric heating and hot water by AGA or immersion. Wireless broadband available. As the 4th bedroom is designed for children only this property can only accept a maximum of 5 adults in any party.

“Whilst Harbourfield is a comfortable house it is not as good as others we have rented. I would have thought it is better suited to a summer let. It would be really useful to have a tumble dryer. A little attention could be paid to the furniture in the en-suite bedroom, 2 handles fell off when using the drawers. Rather surprised there is no extraction in the kitchen.”

“Another fabulous week in Salcombe, so lovely each time we come back.  Lots of ice cream, fudge, sweets and crepes eaten.  Lucky with the weather.  Enjoyed some time on the beaches.  Lunch at the Winking Prawn.  Nice visit to the South Devon Chilli Farm and Paignton Zoo and also the Miniature Pony Centre near Newton Abbott - well worth a visit!  The house is lovely and lots of space for two families.  Nicely presented with the added bonus of a table tennis table!  Look forward to coming back!”

“Again one complaint. The state of the garage was un acceptable. The use of the garage is probably less at that time of year but it was a dump for garden furniture, a table tennis table, a broken washer and various other artefacts. It needed a thorough spring clean and regular checks which clearly had not happened. Not up to the usual C & C standard.”

Many thanks for your positive review in respect of Harbourfield in Salcombe, although it was disappointing to read your comments regarding the garage.  \nYour feedback has been passed on to the owners who agree that the garage needs a spring clean (builders had been using the garage to construct a new upper deck for the garden, which has only just been completed) and your booking was the first of the season.   \n\nThe garage is a multi purpose space and provides storage for garden chairs, table tennis table, barbecue, buckets, spades and some beach toys - all of which are provided as amenities for tenants.  The garage can also accommodate a large car on request.   We were also grateful for your feedback in respect of the washing machine - the owners are now arranging for it be be repaired.  Please accept their apologies for any inconvenience caused.    \n\nWe do hope that,  despite the issues raised,  you enjoyed your stay in Salcombe and look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

“We loved staying in this house. It was perfect for our family of 5 and we were visiting guests who own house up the road in Devon Road. We ended up at Harbourfield to celebrate new year's eve as it is such a comfy place and perfect for a mix of children and adults. We will stay there again next time we come down.”
