Lee Cottage is a 17th Century, Grade II cottage, full of original character features and charm, set in the very heart of the picturesque South Devon village of Stokenham.  The two-storey, semi-detached accommodation has been extensively renovated and refurbished to a very good standard throughout, with two spacious bedrooms sleeping up to four guests, a fully-tiled bathroom (on the ground floor), a cosy sitting room with wood-burning stove, and off-road parking for one car.  The property and location are ideal for a young family or couple looking for good quality accommodation within quick, easy access of the village, and only a short drive to the Start Bay coastline and beaches.

LOCATION The cottage is in the very centre of Stokenham village, adjacent to the 15th Century parish church, and with two pubs just a short walk away.  Stokely Farm shop, deli and café/restaurant are a mile or so from the cottage, whilst the village of Torcross - with its intriguing history and unspoiled shingle beach - and Slapton Ley nature reserve are within a 5 minute drive. 
ENTRANCE Stone steps lead down from the parking area and lane to the cottage entrance, and into a small ground floor lobby. All the living accommodation plus the bathroom are on this level, with both bedrooms on the first floor.
BATHROOM A fully tiled, and newly refurbished family bathroom has a bath, ceiling mounted rainhead shower, hand-held shower, wash-hand basin with cupboard, w.c. and heated towel rail.
KITCHEN The galley kitchen is well equipped with fitted units, wooden worktops, Belfast sink, four ring Neff halogen hob and electric oven, fridge (with freezer compartment), washing machine and microwave.
SITTING/DINING ROOM A particularly cosy sitting and dining room has beautiful distressed wood-effect tiled flooring, painted ceiling beams and feature fireplace with wood-burning stove.  It is furnished with a double sofa, two wing-backed armchairs, TV, DVD player, and wooden dining table with bench seating and chairs.  A lovely oak staircase leads up to the first floor bedrooms.
BEDROOMS Two.  A very good sized double bedroom has attractive wooden floor boards, King-size wooden framed bed, bedside tables, drawers, wardrobe, and day bed (available for an extra toddler on request).  In addition, a twin room at this level has painted wooden flooring, two wooden framed single beds, bedside table, hanging rail, and airing cupboard (housing the electric boiler).  N.B. All duvets, pillows, bed linen and towels (excluding beach towels) are supplied.
OUTSIDE There is a small garden set a few metres from the cottage down a cobbled path and over a very quiet lane. The garden adjoins the village green and contains a patio area, lawn, fire pit, log store and picnic table. Access is via three steps and there is a low picket fence on the side next to the country lane.
PARKING Off-lane, gravelled parking to the rear of the cottage for one car only.
OTHER INFORMATION Electric boiler for central heating (underfloor in some rooms) and hot water.  Wireless broadband internet NOT currently available but there is good 3G signal on most networks.  Strictly no smoking or pets permitted.

Please note the road between Torcross and Blackpool Sands has been subject to some damage from Storm Emma – please ask our team for more details.
