Pixie Cottage is a cosy period property conveniently located just a few short steps (mostly downhill) from Dartmouth town centre. The comfortable and thoughtfully presented accommodation is equipped and presented to a good standard throughout and is an ideal base for a couple or young family looking for quick and easy access to the town. The cottage has the benefit of a small terrace to the rear, which offers a glimpse of the river (between houses) whilst enjoying a relaxing drink or meal!
LOCATION The property is in Clarence Hill (a narrow and steep lane in places) just 100m or so from Dartmouth's array of boutiques, restaurants and tea rooms, and within easy reach of the beautiful River Dart. Blackpool Sands beach is a 5-10 minute drive whilst Woodlands Theme Park is just 3 miles outside of Dartmouth.
VIEWS There is a glimpse of the River Dart from the rear terrace.
ENTRANCE The cottage is accessed directly from Clarence Hill into small lobby with stairs up to the first floor bedrooms and steps down to living accommodation.
SITTING/DINING ROOM A cosy sitting area with a feature fireplace, two double leather sofas, small window seat, TV and DVD player. The dining area has an oak table with four oak/leather chairs. This room leads into the galley kitchen.
KITCHEN A cleverly designed galley kitchen (with slightly sloping floor!) has a range of fitted units, four ring gas hob and electric oven), combi microwave oven, compact fridge/freezer and table-top dishwasher. Door out to the rear terrace/balcony.
BEDROOMS Two, both on the first floor. The tastefully decorated main bedroom has a leather-framed double bed, bedside shelves, matching oak wardrobe and drawers. A small twin bedroom has two oak-framed single beds, bedside unit and two small fitted wardrobes. All duvets, pillows, bed linen and towels (excluding those for the beach) are provided.
BATHROOM On the ground floor (adjacent to the kitchen) is a recently refurbished shower room with shower, w.c., wash-hand basin and heated towel rail.
OUTSIDE A good sized brick terrace and decked balcony to the rear of the cottage has a table and four chairs.
PARKING An annual car parking permit, for one car, is provided for the Mayors Avenue public car park (subject to availability)/Dartmouth Park and Ride.
OTHER INFORMATION Mostly wooden floor in the ground floor rooms, with floor tiles in the kitchen and bathroom and carpet upstairs. Combi-boiler supplies central heating and instant hot water. Strictly no smoking or pets permitted. Wireless broadband available.
