Starboard Light is a lovely detached holiday home, furnished and presented to a high standard throughout, with delightful views over the adjacent countryside and farmland, and across towards the Kingsbridge/Salcombe Estuary. The two-storey accommodation offers a very comfortable retreat for families or couples, and has level entry access and ground floor facilities for visitors with limited mobility.
LOCATION The property is in the pretty village of Malborough, within a short walk of two pubs, post office, shop/garage, church and restaurants. Salcombe is just 2-3 miles away whilst a short drive leads to the coastal villages of Hope Cove, Thurlestone and Bantham.
VIEWS Panoramic country views down towards the estuary from the living room, decking area, and both first floor en suite bedrooms.
ENTRANCE From the spacious driveway a level ground floor entrance opens into a good sized hallway, off which are two bedrooms, and access to the living accommodation.
KITCHEN/DINING/SITTING ROOM An attractive and well-equipped kitchen has a range of fitted units, four-ring ceramic hob, double oven, larder fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Separate UTILITY ROOM with washing machine, tumble dryer and environmentally friendly overhead pulley airer. The dining area has a large round table seating eight comfortably and double French doors leading out to the decked terrace. The sitting room has three black leather sofas, widescreen TV, DVD player and music system, and well as a wall-mounted gas fire.
BEDROOMS Four in total. At ground floor level there are matching twin bedrooms, each with two single beds, bedside unit and drawers. On the first floor are identical master suites, each with King-size bed, wardrobe, bedside units, drawers, and en suite with bath, separate shower, w.c., wash-hand basin, heated towel rail and shaver point. Please note that one double bedroom and one twin room have memory foam mattresses whilst the other equivalent pair have pocket sprung mattresses. All duvets, pillows, bed linen and towels are provided. Tenants will require beach and tea towels.
BATH/SHOWER ROOMS In addition to the two en suites (above) is a very spacious shower room (on the ground floor), comprising large open shower area, w.c., wash-hand basin, heated towel rail and shaver point.
OUTSIDE To the rear of the house is a large area of decked terrace, ideal for al fresco dining, with table and six chairs.
PARKING Ample off-road parking on drive for 2-3 cars, plus boat trailer.
OTHER INFORMATION Mostly tiled flooring throughout the ground floor, with carpet in the bedrooms. Gas-fired central heating and hot water with electric underfloor heating in both en suites. Wireless broadband internet available. Strictly no smoking or pets permitted.
