“Lovely cottage ideally situated to explore South Hams.”

Comfy sofas and bed. No parking at cottage but village shop carpark and on road parking very close by and always available so easy to park. Easy access and great instructions. Lovely bed linen and towels. Very clean. Lovely edible treats and flowers left to welcome us. Thank you! Very quick response from owners to any queries. Wonderful walks from the door. Great places to explore and eat at near by. Great beaches, we even saw seals! Definitely recommend!

“The cottage was ok, the pictures are quite deceiving, it was quite small for our group, we were 3 adults and 2 children.”

It was really cold, I don’t think we would last 2 hours in the winter. The only bathroom had no privacy, you could see everything through the door and the neighbour was always looking through their window to our bathroom window, there were no curtains in the bathroom window (this is something easily fixed with a window film). The smell of dump was very strong, I had to wash every glass we use because of the smell. This caused a really bad allergic reaction on my 22 year old niece and my daughter, I couldn’t sleep with one of them coughing all night. The inside of the wardrobes smelled really bad too. It was a nice little cottage, but it wasn’t for us.

Our contact details are enclosed with the welcome notes and we would have gladly come to assist with any queries or rectify any issues during your stay. We leave the radiator thermostats set to 18 or 20 degrees, it is very simple to increase the temperature, as we noted in the instructions, again we would have happily assisted you! The radiators are very efficient and the cottage becomes extremely warm, throughout the year. Thank you for commenting about the bathroom windows, in many years we have never seen any neighbours overlook us from that window which looks out onto sky, trees and a rooftop and it lets in a great deal of sunshine, so we felt blinds were superfluous, however we certainly would have happily come round and put up window films for you there and at the door, and we will do so. I have passed your comments on to our housekeeping team to ensure rooms are thoroughly aired, most stone cottages just need a little fresh air each day, we always leave it clean and smelling lovely with natural organic air diffusers. We are sorry you were not entirely happy, I do hope at least you enjoyed all the treats we left you and were able to enjoy the local area. Very Best Wishes. Property Owner
