The property

Albany House is an elegant villa built in the late 19th century for one of Salcombe’s foremost Master Mariners.

It is situated in a quiet position overlooking Salcombe town and estuary, yet within a few minutes’ walk of all the town’s shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants.

Each of the three flats enjoys off-street parking, a delightful large shared garden with outside seating and barbecues, wonderful views, unrestricted wireless broadband, multi-channel TV, an extensive Blu-ray/DVD library and guest membership of Salcombe Harbour Hotel Spa and Gym (for adults only).

Flats 1 and 3 sleep four, while Flat 2 is for one couple only.

All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms.

Each flat has its own unique style and identity, but they all share the same high standards of accommodation, finish and equipment (including washing and drying machines), and extra touches such as flowers and bathroom toiletries.

And, of course, those great views!

Albany House is always a pleasure to return to at the end of a hard day on the beach or returning from a cliff walk - a stunning destination, at any time of year. Flat 2 occupies the ground floor of the house, and enjoys lovely views across the town and estuary from the kitchen and raised dining area.

The open plan apartment, which has wooden or tiled flooring with rugs, has a light and bright feel by day, yet is warm and cosy in the evenings, and is perfect for one couple.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
