    “I have put that the listing wasn't that accurate only because I wasn't really sure whether or not it was in the middle of nowhere or near other houses / shops - I am pleased to say that it was in a lovely spot (country lane with adjacent properties/shop nearby).”

This single-storey annexe, Little Honeynook, is located in Bigbury, close to the coastal community of Bigbury-on-Sea, in the county of Devon.

The annexe is perfect for a romantic getaway for two people, with views of the surrounding countryside and the sea from its enclosed garden, whilst featuring a hot tub, open-plan living space, and cheery décor; the annexe is nestled within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Spend time together in the living room, where you can watch your favourite movie while preparing a home-cooked meal, which you can either eat inside or outside; if you decide to dine outside, soak up the Devonshire sunshine before stepping into the bubbling hot tub, an ideal way to relax after an adventurous day.

When sleep calls, head to the roomy king-size bedroom, which is equipped with plenty of storage and cosy furnishings and has access to a sleek bathroom.

Bigbury-on-Sea, Bantham, Ayrmer Cove, Wonwell and many other renowned beaches are close by when you are ready to leave your home-from-home.

Enjoy a seafood feast at The Oyster Shack or perhaps a few drinks at The Pilchard Inn or other country pubs located in the quaint close by villages of Kingston and Ringmore.

Arrive at South Efford Marsh Nature Reserve, Kingsbridge Creek, Overbeck's Garden and Slapton Ley Field Centre to connect with nature.

When you get to Salcombe, schedule tours of the Love the Sea Gallery, which features maritime artwork by Nick Philbedge, brush up on your local history at the Salcombe Maritime Museum, or visit the Salcombe Yacht Club or sit and enjoy a lazy lunch at the busy marina.

There is an extremely well stocked local shop/Post Office within a few minutes walk selling an array of locally produced: vegetables, meat, and preserves, wine and beer and many other daily essentials.

More extensive shopping is available in the close by town of Modbury.

The popular estuary town of Kingsbridge with it’s array of many varied restaurants, supermarkets and independent shops is within a 15/20 minute drive.

A little further is Dartmouth famous for the Royal Naval college and beautiful estuary views, whilst there, take a leisurely boat trip along the river Dart which stops off at Greenway, Agatha Christie’s house which is now in the hands of the National Trust.

The famous market town of Totnes is also within a 35 minutes drive.

Closer to home, either walk or drive to Bigbury-On-Sea and take the famous sea tractor over to Burgh Island and enjoy the splendour of it’s much written about Art Deco hotel which has had many illustrious guests over years, including Agatha Christie where she wrote some of her novels or walk to the top of the island and enjoy the spectacular 360 degree sea views or pop in to the Pilchard pub for a refreshing drink. Within a 5 minutes drive is Bigbury Golf Club with its restaurant and bar being open to non members.

The renowned links golf course at Thurlestone is also within a short drive. By car, you can travel to the well-known coastal city of Plymouth, where you can stroll through West Hoe Park and have a romantic picnic on the lush grounds: or soak up the atmosphere of the Barbican Marina with it’s many trendy bars and restaurants.

Maybe visit the Mayflower Museum for a glimpse into maritime history: or visit the national Marine Aquarium, the largest aquarium in the UK, which houses marine life from nearby waters all the way to the Great Barrier Reef.

Also within a 30 minute drive is Dartmoor National Park a fantastic walking and relaxing destination. Spend time with your loved one or friends in Devon at Little Honeynook.

From Bigbury, explore the South Devon coast with its fabulous sandy beaches and its breathtakingly beautiful coastal path or visit some of the charming towns and villages dotted throughout the area, such as Modbury, Salcombe, Kingsbridge and Dartmouth. The city of Plymouth and the beautiful landscapes of Dartmoor are also within driving distance.
