Mrs phillips “Our week away was booked with a lot of nervousness due to the current situation but we have honestly had the best week away.”
The cottage was amazing, perfect location for us as we went different areas of Devon each day. We used the hotel pool and kids loved it. It was spotless, comfortable and very very relaxing.

Mrs Lambert “We stayed at Pitstop 3/10 - 10/10 and what a lovely place it is and in gorgeous quiet surroundings.”
The house has lots of space, very comfortable with everything you need for self catering. All rooms have ensuites with great showers with constant hot water and great heated towel rails. The weather wasn't the best for us with rainy days but even coming in soaking wet the house was always warm and we were able to dry everything ready for the next day. It's in a great location for sight seeing with so many places to see. We would definitely go again. Thanks Regards Nicki and Tony

Anonymous “We had a lovely stay at the house in February this year.”
The house is a great size an comfortably accommodated 6 adults. It was clean and tidy and had all we needed for a lovely long weekend. The area is lovely and it is located close to lots of local amenities. Even at that time of the year we were able to get out and about locally, as well as have cosy nights in. The complex is quiet and would be great for families as well. We would love to go back again and will definitely be making it a yearly visit... Could not recommended more.
- Anonymous,Anonymous “We booked Pitstop for a girly, long weekend in winter.”
It was brilliant, a lovely clean and cosy house for snuggly evenings and a gorgeous pool and spa facilities for relaxing days. Lots of local beauty spots to explore, which were all very quiet and serene during the winter. Thank you so much, we can’t wait to return in the summer!
- Anonymous,Anonymous “Pitstop was the perfect retreat for our family, we found the property very homely, clean and with everything we needed.”
Ideally located for Dartmouth and surrounding areas, including the children’s theme park less than a mile down the road. We did encounter a small problem with the plumbing, however the owner was quick to get this sorted. Definitely on our list to return.

Mr Hammond “Just a quick note to thank you and say we have had a fantastic time at your cottage in Dartmouth and would definitely look to come back.”
We took your advice and walked to the Winking Prawn on Tuesday over the cliff from Salcombe which was great and went to Rock Fish on Wednesday which the kids absolutely loved.

anonymous “We stayed at the Pitstop in June 2019.”
Ideally located for the lovely town of Dartmouth, we really enjoyed our stay. A lovely peaceful setting set on a golf course with use of leisure facilities at the hotel. The accommodation was very well furnished, well equipped and with plenty of space. Close to some lovely beaches and restaurants. We would recommend RockFish in Dartmouth for excellent seafood. We would certainly look at booking Pitstop again and would highly recommend it.

“Pitstop made a lovely base for our summer holiday.”
Beautiful beaches within a short drive. Ample space in the house for us and our three children. A lovely quiet place to retreat to. The on-site swimming pool was lovely and the games and books provided at the house was a lovely touch for families. Warm, clean and spacious- will definitely return.

About the location
DARTMOUTH
Totnes 12 miles.
Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town. For those seeking some beach activities, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blue Flag Award winner Blackpool Sands, and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular and just a stone's throw from Dartmouth. A relaxing location in South Devon.
