    Mr Payne

“Whilst we prefer Hillfield Village where we have stayed on two previous occasions, The Willows was of similar standard and free access to the hotel's facilities was most welcome.”

However, the heating was not working when we arrived and we had to phone the office for assistance. The response was prompt and efficient and portable heaters were supplied immediately. The next day an electrician arrived and, although he couldn't resolve the underlying problem, he did manage to effect a temporary fix which enabled the heating to function to our satisfaction. Please note that contrary to information provided the heating is not underfloor but supplied by radiators! We were also offered compensation for the inconvenience and this was gratefully received. On another matter the cleanliness was not as good as it could be. For example, there were cobwebs around the ceilings of each bedroom and there was a 'fly' problem in the top bedroom where our son and daughter in law had to remove 10-12 flies each evening before they could settle down for the night. Whilst we realise that flies can be a problem in the countryside we feel that there may be a problem with that particular room! Additionally, whilst a hoover was listed in the inventory we could not locate it. Overall an enjoyable stay in an impressive cottage environment.

Thank you for your review regarding your recent stay at The Willows and we are very pleased to hear that you enjoyed your visit. We are sorry to hear that there was a problem with the heating on your arrival but glad that we were able to solve this for you, in an efficient and timely manner. We apologise that the cleanliness was not up to our usual high standard and have noted your comments regarding this and have spoken with the relevant department to rectify these points. Please do be assured that if you have any issue at a property you can always call us straightaway and we'll be happy to help resolve any issues. Owner relations
