The property

Spring Cottage is an idyllic two-bedroom cottage settled in Sheplegh Court on the outskirts of Blackawton, Devon.

This lovely cottage can sleep up to four guests and boasts a light and airy décor throughout, as well as having use of the on-site facilities, you will also benefit from easy access to the surrounding towns of Kingsbridge and Totnes.

Park up in the convenient designated parking space, before unloading your bags with ease and stepping into the property to begin your holiday.

Show-off your culinary skills in the well-equipped kitchen, which has a handy dishwasher making cleaning up less of a chore, as your guests set the table and pop open a bottle of fizz.

Gather around the dining table in the living/dining room to savour a delicious meal whilst discussing plans for the days ahead.

Retire to the sofa where you can put your feet up and enjoy a movie night with your guests on the Smart TV.

As the evening draws to a close, climb the stairs to the first floor where you will discover two tastefully decorated bedrooms, a king-size and a twin, both perfect for enjoying a restful night.

Kick-start your day with a refreshing shower and prepare for the day in style, before dining alfresco with your guests in the shared courtyard.

After a day of exploring, why not take a leisurely walk around the expansive gardens or have a relaxing swim in the outdoor pool.

Set out for the day with a trip to the nearby town of Kingsbridge, where you can pack a homemade picnic and head to Duncombe Park to enjoy, learn more about the local history at the Kingsbridge Cookworthy Museum which is set inside the Old Grammar School or head to the picturesque marina where you can try your hand at crabbing and fishing or simply just watch the world go by.

Head to the historic market town of Dartmouth, well-known for its remarkable castle which overlooks the Dart Estuary and houses displays detailing the castles history.

Nearby, you will find the delightful pebble beach of Sugary Cove, perfect for a walk along the shores or exploring all the little coves.

Be sure to venture to Darmouth Musuem, which details the towns history in a former 17th-century merchant’s house.

For a day spent on the sands, head to the nearby Blue Flag Beach of Blackpool Sands, where you can soak up the sun, build sandcastles, take to the waters on a kayak or grab a bite to eat at the café.

If you can tear yourself away, Totnes is just a little further with it’s impressive Totnes Castle which provides expansive views over the town, beautiful walks along the River Dart, and a good selection of museums, including the Totnes Fashion and Textiles Museum.

In easy reach of Dartmouth and the beaches of Start Bay, the location offers a delightful balance between seclusion and convenience, with a wealth of picturesque walks, welcoming local pubs and more on your doorstep. In the centre of the village on Main Street, the 14th century Parish Church of St Michael completes the setting whole-heartedly. The George Inn is a family-run pub in the heart of the village. Situated across from the church, this dog-friendly inn backs onto some beautiful South Hams countryside, and there are outside tables where you can relax and take in the scenery. Nearby, Halwell is a small village in wooded farmland equidistant from the busy little town of Kingsbridge and popular Totnes - A charming Devon town with a bustling main street and a regular market, the area boasts regular outdoor markets on Fridays and Saturdays. During the main season, between May and September, there is an Elizabethan market each Tuesday morning.
