The property

12 Ridge Hill is a wonderful three-storey terrace house nestled in the coastal town of Dartmouth in Devon with a private multi-level garden boasting three terraces and superb views across to the River Dart, 12 Ridge Hill is a delightful dwelling for a family of six or group of friends looking to embark on their Dartmouth adventure.

Step into the spacious living/dining room, where you can look forward to long, lazy dinners at the dining table, as you savour a delicious meal and make plans over a bottle of wine.

The evenings entertainment is in hand, courtesy of the Smart TV, which can be enjoyed whilst curled up on the sofa whilst basking in the glow of the woodburning stove.

The chef of your group will delight at the well-equipped kitchen/diner, which houses a double electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer for conjuring up delicious feasts, as well as dishwasher for those stress-free clean ups!

Just off the kitchen is a utility room with a washing machine, so there is no need to bring your whole wardrobe with you.

You will also benefit from the handy cloakroom, ideal for a quick freshen up before heading out for the day.

Venture up to the first floor, where you can wash away the day with a refreshing shower or blissful bath, before discovering two beautifully appointed bedrooms, a double with en-suite bathroom and a double, each with ample storage for your belongings.

Make your way up to the second floor where the third bedroom can be found, a delightful twin with splendid views.

Awake from a leisurely slumber and treat your guests to morning coffee out in the private garden, where you can relax at the bistro table or on one of two sun loungers.

Take a walk into the town centre, where you will find an excellent selection of pubs and restaurants, each serving delicious homemade dishes, perfect for those evenings where you don’t feel like cooking!

Unleash your inner historian with a visit to Dartmouth’s local museum which is housed inside a 17th-century merchant’s house, explore the 16th-century riverside Bayard’s Cove Fort or wander around the 14th-century Dartmouth Castle with its 15th-century tower and stunning views overlooking the estuary.

Walkers and cyclists needn’t feel left out as Dartmouth rests in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so there are a range of scenic trails on offer, including the South West Coast Path and the Dart Valley Trail.

For a unique way to the see the sights, why not hop aboard the Dartmouth Steam Railway which will take you through the rolling countryside all the way to Paignton.

Alternatively, take the ferry over to Kingswear, where you will find the fantastic 16th-century Kingswear Castle and Brownstone Battery.

For a day at the beach, the award-winning Blue Flag Beach of Blackpool Sands is nearby, where you can bath in the sun, paddle the clear waters or tuck-in to fresh fish and chips.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town.
