“Fantastic apartment with stunning views of the river.”

Couple of minor points for consideration . 1.0 The TV is getting dated, no freeview HD channels and no iplayer etc; 2.0 colour code the door keys, there are three locks and three keys 3.0 The sharp spikes on the bed pillars should be removed , we took them off , toilet trips in the night could cause injury

“We have stayed at this property before, and like the apartment.”

However, when we stayed last week we found the following: 1. The radiator in the main room was not working 2. The boiler was very noisy, as if it needs servicing 3. Some of the spot light bulbs are not working and need replacing 4. The bed squeaks 5. The sofas in the main room are not comfortable 6. The letter box cage was full of leaflets that had been delivered but not removed. 7. One of the glass tables beside the bed was cracked Also, one thing that might make us think about booking the apartment again was the lack of a fire exit from the apartment, other than down the stairs.

“Having stayed at D/Marina Apts.”

before, the location of No 36 was very good (river view etc). A blocked loo v. soon after arrival was quickly resolved by C&C. However a request for a lighter duvet (10.5 togs in summer time!!!

“Second year staying at this lovely apartment.”

Once again it did not disappoint. Good that this time they had included hand wash. For us what would make it a really 5 star place to stay would be SKY tv and the replacement of the still quite uncomfortable beige settee.

“This is a lovely apartment in a delightful position in Dartmouth.”

The views from the window seat are amazing and so relaxing. Also as it is in the roof space (normal height ceilings) it could almost be detached. What would really make it more 5 star would be: - a smart TV including Netflix - liquid hand soap for bathroom and kitchen (always had this in other apartments) - a small welcome pack, milk? - perhaps a replacement sofa (not a lot of spring left in it) Also we were not convinced the bed was a king size - perhaps it was just a small king? Having said all that, nothing could detract from an absolutely brilliant stay there.

“We had a fantastic week with blue skies all week.”

Great views over the river Dart, we caught a couple of glimpses of seals in the river at high tide and lots of cormorants. The apartment is of a very high standard and a lovely space to enjoy watching the river go by. The Dart Marina complex was very quiet and peaceful. Good food and drinks at The Floating Bridge and Bayard's Cove restaurant.

“Great cottage, only 2 things I would comment on: 1.”

We received no information on how to pick up the keys and gain access. We booked through booking.com and apparently this was the problem. However this was very frustrating after a 4 hour drive. 2. The extractor fan in the bathroom would not turn off day and night and it was very annoying at night. Otherwise a perfect holiday location!

“Lovely flat, very comfortable and especially good for winter, lovely and warm and cosy, especially as we hit a very wet and windy week.”

Great views so spent considerable time watching boats and the beautiful lit up Christmas train. All the organisation was good too. One or two things on description of what to do were slightly confusing like "consult the owner or caretaker" when there wasn't one but only minor things. I think we would definitely consider staying here again.

The views are amazing. There was always something to watch on the river as we loved the whistle of the steam train as it passed by. The use of the Dart Marina Hotel facilities were an added bonus and the location into town is excellent.

“This is the third time we have been to this flat, the first was in 2011.”

While the flat is still nice some bits are getting tired. The sofa bed is broken. The other settee is getting grubby and the cushions have gone flat. The bed still causes problems with pillows disappearing off the back during the night.

“All brilliant except for the bed.”

We found it much too soft and kept rolling into the middle so generally didn't get a lot of sleep. Also the bed frame was a bit odd with the steel uprights. Otherwise we would book again but as we are in our 60s a good night's sleep is pretty important. However, we had a really good holiday. Thought the view was fantastic.

“This was our second stay in the apartment and we were surprised to see the cracked door of the bathroom cabinet, which was there during our stay in June 2014, had not been replaced.”

The radio had also been changed and we were unable to use our iPod as we had on the previous year which was disappointing. I've always felt the bed is an example of design over practicality. I noticed in the guest book one visitor had complained about it, saying the lack of a bed head means the pillows very often ended up on the floor. And yes, this happened to us too as it did in 2014. Other than that everything for an enjoyable stay was there and we would not hesitate to recommend 36 Dart Marina to our friends.

Had the great pleasure to use the gym/pool. Allocated parking at the property which is very rare in Dartmouth. Only comfort we would like to see next, is a ladle (large soup spoon). We both very much enjoyed our visit.

Dishwasher not working, radiator in bedroom had broken thermostat so had to get it sorted since we couldn't turn the heating off. No instructions for heating.

“We have stayed in 3 properties at the The dart Marina and have always thought EXCELLENT.”

But this time. The dishwasher played up. The cooker hood didnt work and the TV had background hissing (I thought this was a thing of the past with TV's.) Its such a lovely apartment and if these small things are not sorted out there will be more added to the list and it will loose its appeal. Maybe a proper ironing board would be a good idea as have u tried to use the one in there? Overall we had a fab time but a quiet word with the owner is probably needed. Julie Davies Worcester.

36 Dart Marina is a delightful third floor apartment, perfect for a couple looking for a romantic bolt hole.

Situated in a beautiful waterside spot in historic Dartmouth, the property is luxuriously furnished and has a fabulous window from the open plan living area, offering panoramic views over the River Dart. Two flights of stairs or a good-sized lift lead up to the apartment entrance, which opens into a tastefully decorated hallway (with small utility room off it, housing a washer/dryer).

The open plan living area has beautiful river views and comprises of a stunning, state-of-the-art kitchen (with integrated Smeg appliances including 4-ring gas range and oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and stone worktops), an elegant lounge and dining area.
