    “Full Deck is a lovely comfortable holiday cottage.”

    Just 2 minutes into Dartmouth town. No need for a car to see Dartmouth and walk around town or harbour area. We had a car park pass for the mayor avenue municipal car park just 10 minutes away, which was a god send as this is very busy. Parking is a challenge and on the days we went out exploring other holiday picks, we got back to find we had to wait a bit and drive around to find a space. The cottage is in a quiet road so only gets passers by walking into town . Very comfortable new beds, ...

We had a car park pass for the mayor avenue municipal car park just 10 minutes away, which was a god send as this is very busy. Parking is a challenge and on the days we went out exploring other holiday picks, we got back to find we had to wait a bit and drive around to find a space. The cottage is in a quiet road so only gets passers by walking into town . Very comfortable new beds, very clean. The decoration and furnishings are by local artists and lovingly designed. We visited end of September, during COVID-19, so everywhere was secure and clean. We picked up our keys from the sister travel company office just by the main car park at teatime. The property is just by the seven stars pub and singing kettle teashop which are great places to eat. Our weather wasn’t warm so we didn’t get chance to use the outside patio or bbq area. We would recommend this property.

The property

A tastefully presented and well equipped two bedroom semi-detached house, set in a quiet, predominantly residential area, Full Deck is within just a short walk of Dartmouth's picturesque waterfront, boutiques, galleries and restaurants. A shared entrance porch contains the front door to the property opening onto a small hallway with a newly installed cloak/utility room The living room comprises of two sofas, coffee table, contemporary inset fire, wall mounted flatscreen TV with Blue Ray DVD player and Freesat.

The lounge opens into the newly fitted kitchen with a range of built-in appliances and freestanding Smeg fridge freezer with an archway leading into the light and spacious dining room with bi-folding doors leading out into the rear decked courtyard with gas BBQ.

Stairs from the lounge lead up to the two good sized bedrooms, one with a Super- king-size with a wall mounted TV, one with twin beds and an en suite shower room.

*A Z-bed (for a child only) is available on request for use in a third room furnished with a dressing table, ideal for those wanting to work/study during their stay.

There is also a spacious bathroom with large free standing shower cubicle, separate bath, washbasin w/c and heated towel rail.

The property throughout has instant hot water. An annual parking permit, for one car, is provided for the Mayors Avenue public car park (subject to available spaces).

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town. For those seeking some beach activities, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blue Flag Award winner Blackpool Sands, and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular and just a stone's throw from Dartmouth. A relaxing location in South Devon.


NOTE - No parking at the property - parking permit supplied (car park is approximately 10-15 minute walk from the apartment). Please note that the Mayors Avenue car park is closed for the Regatta Week.

All bed linen and bath/hand towels are supplied. You will need to bring your own tea towels beach towels and oven gloves.
