The historic naval town of Dartmouth is just a 15-minute drive (or 20-30-minute river cruise) away, with its award-winning restaurants, individual boutique shops and delightful waterfront.
The Ferry Boat Inn (one of two pubs in the village, in addition to a shop/post office) and widely acclaimed Anchorstone Cafe serving locally-sourced fish and seafood in a stunning riverside location, are within 100 yards of the cottage, whilst Agatha Christie's former home 'Greenway' (now owned by the National Trust) is a short ferry 'hop' across from The Quay.
The cottage is accessed from The Quay-via a covered porch and stable door which leads directly into the sitting room.
This cosy living area has low ceilings, original supporting beams and delightful views and a decorative feature Wood Burner.Two steps lead up into the kitchen which is well equipped with a door leading out to the rear garden.
Further river views over the cottage can be found from the elevated decking area.
The en suite master bedroom with king-size bed, is situated at the rear of the property.
Bedroom two has superb river views and a double bed.
Bedroom three again has superb river views and is furnished with fixed triple bunk beds (the top bunk is 7’ from the floor and is not suitable for young children).
There is also a family bathroom fitted with a panelled bath with hand-held shower attachment, w.c., and a wash hand basin.
