    There were one or two minor niggles: no toilet roll holder in the main en suite bathroom and the gas cylinder regulator for the barbecue didn't work. The latter was fixed very promptly by the handyman who had called to oversee the delivery of a new tumble dryer.We enjoyed using an Aga for the first time although it stopped working on our last evening - hopefully that was fixed in time for the next visitors. ...

We were a little disappointed not to have a welcome pack for our arrival; nine people arriving after various lengthy journeys would have appreciated a little something on our arrival, e.g. teabags or coffee plus some milk at least. There was milk in the fridge but it was out of date and probably left by the previous visitors.

The property

Lower Easton Farmhouse is a fabulous Grade II listed farmhouse in a delightful rural hamlet located between Salcombe and Kingsbridge and less than two miles from the South West Coast Path.

Situated in the pretty rural hamlet of Easton, this is a fabulous dog friendly property which sleeps ten.

On the ground floor is a large hand-crafted modern kitchen with a range of appliances including a four-oven AGA and a Liebherr fridge, whilst an adjacent utility room and cloakroom houses laundry facilities and storage space. Elegant sliding doors open out to the spacious terrace and garden where guests can enjoy a spot of al fresco dining in the summer months.

The light and spacious dining room is ideal for entertaining with an oak table seating ten and a fireplace. This cosy living space features original oak beams, an Inglenook fireplace, Smart television with Sky+ HD package, and leads into a small snug.

The large en-suite master bedroom has a super-King size bed, plenty of storage and lovely country views.

There is another double room with a super-King size bed and feature fire place.

The third and fourth bedrooms have King-size beds and the fifth, built into the roof space, is a twin.

There is a family bathroom on the first floor and a shower room on the second.

The garden features a sun terrace, lawn, bistro table and chairs, and a table-tennis table. There is also off-road parking on the driveway for two cars, plus space for 1-2 more on grassy area at the front of the house. The spacious three storey dog-friendly accommodation is comfortably furnished and well equipped – perfect for a family holiday in beautiful, rural surroundings.
