“Accuracy of listing: more needs to be said about the parking - for less competent drivers it presents a major issue.”

To say there is space for two cars on the slope behind the outbuilding is simply not credible and neither is to say parking at the end of the road by the the speed sign. There is no other place to park anywhere within 300 metres of the property. To suggest a car can be parked at the end of the lane is dangerous and inconsiderate to other occupants of the lane and drivers using the road passing the lane. It should be pointed out there is no footpath and road noise is very invasive throughout the day. The property is very dark downstairs, during the day lights in the kitchen are necessary Cleanliness: generally OK but attention needs to be paid to the cobwebs throughout the property. We live in the country and are used to spiders and webs and know that the webs have been there some time Comfort: it was good to have the space Facilities: the garden was a disappointment. The garden lights and water feature were not available to make for a pleasant and relaxing evening. A pair of sun loungers would have been a nice touch as would a parasol to make the use of the garden furniture more enjoyable. There was no BBQ even though the listing said there would be. The folders of information - the C&C was next to useless, the property owner's marginally better. Recycling advice was scant - we had to ask the nice people at the end of the lane when collection is made and there was no guidance of food waste Other than the parking (I would suggest negotiating an agreement with a local with a large drive who may welcome a small rental income) & road noise most of these points can easily be resolved and make the difference between a customer using C&C again or taking their business elsewhere. We enjoyed our holiday but then we were at the beach for most of the day and there are some lovely walks from the cottage. For us the jury is out as to whether or not to use C&C again.

We are sorry that you did not enjoy your time in our cottage. Given that we have guests who “absolutely loved” the property, have others returning after previous stays, perhaps an 18th century cottage in a small village setting is not to your taste. We specify that 2 medium cars can be parked on the drive and we regularly park 2 cars without issue, as have other guests. The parking by the road-sign at the end of the lane is regularly and safely used by us and neighbours. Apologies for the missing BBQ. It was being replaced, had been put back, but it was clearly not in an obvious place. Property Owner

About the location

FROGMORE

Kingsbridge 4.1 miles; Salcombe 9.1 miles

The picturesque village of Frogmore, located at the head of Frogmore Creek, is surrounded by stunning countryside and is just three miles from the pretty market town of Kingsbridge and a 10-minute drive from Slapton Sands, which makes it a fantastic holiday destination for those looking for a tranquil spot that’s in easy reach of a range of attractions. Walking from Frogmore to West Charleton along the water’s edge is a great way to see the creek before turning inland and heading north through West Charleton. This pretty village is well-known for its excellent bakery, traditional pub, beautiful creek and perhaps most of all, it’s family-focused annual regatta in August.
