    “A lovely cottage, clean, very roomy and well equipped.”

    Parking was a bit difficult in our case as our garage locked itself on closure, with no key, and we had to force it open which took some doing. We therefore had to take up 2 spaces in the small visitors car park. There was a problem with ants but ant powder was provided. However, we realize that this is a problem which is hard to overcome.

The property

A light and spacious barn conversion, situated in the hamlet of Goveton near Kingsbridge.

Set in a rural location, the accommodation is well presented, and enjoys stunning countryside views from the enclosed garden.

The Granary is ideally situated for exploring the South Devon coastline, and the nearby towns of Kingsbridge, Salcombe and Dartmouth.

The large living room is situated on the first floor and is divided into two distinct areas, both of which are comfortably furnished.

A balcony window overlooks the courtyard, and double doors lead from the lounge to the private, enclosed garden.

Adjacent to the sitting room is a cloakroom, with w.c.

The property boasts three bedrooms in total, on varying floors, all of which are en suite.

On the ground floor is a double bedroom, with French doors to the courtyard.

The master bedroom, on the second floor, enjoys a King-size bed, and the third bedroom has full size bunk beds.

To the front of the property are expansive communal lawns, whilst to the rear of the property is a private, grass and paved enclosed garden area.

There are two parking spaces in a double garage, with additional parking for visitors.

The property is baby friendly (including items such as a high chair, travel cot and stairgate), and also dog-friendly, with one well behaved pet permitted.

Set in a peaceful rural location only two miles from the town of Kingsbridge and eight miles from the nautical town of Salcombe, Goveton is a pretty, quaint village with plenty of green rolling hills and characterful charm. The area has been relatively untouched by urban development and as a result the gorgeous farm cottages have remained intact. Situated in the stunning South Hams, Goveton is ringed by several delightful walks for energetic dog owners and within easy reach of Dartmoor National Park it makes an idyllic base for those wanting to explore South Devon.
