Appreciated the bottle of wine. Everything provided for our comfort. Standard and quality of fittings decor etc excellent. Beds very comfy. We very much enjoyed our stay and had a great week. We would definitely stay there again. The only point if anything I would make is that the decking and fencing needs a freshen up - the left hand railing alongside the steps was loose.

Great location giving access to plenty of things to do in the area. Our first visit to Dartmouth and will definitely head that way again.

Very well equipped, very clean, very cute accommodation overall! The complex/area where the cottage is was very nice too - felt safe and secluded. The building works were a bit noisy and annoying, but to be fair this is clearly listed so we knew this was a factor when we chose this accommodation. Didn't matter to us as we went out most of the time, but if you wanted to stay in the cottage more then I could imagine this would become an issue. The cottage is only 6 mins from Dartmouth which is great (and also the nearby Sainsbury which is useful) and only 15 mins to the first big beach: Blackpool Sands - so a good location. I just have some minor gripes, which is why I can't give this 5 stars (I gave it four stars), as follows: 1) It was impossible to figure out how to use the heating and radiators (particularly heating towel rails in bathrooms) - they just didn't seem to respond to what you told the controls to do! Specific advice on how to use this would have been much appreciated (the person in reception often didn't seem to be around when we were) 2) In Summer, upstairs room got crazy hot, so very uncomfortable for my teenage daughters - even with Windows open - guess not much can be done about this! 3) The lanes leading to the cottage are very narrow - one car at a time with no one way system - so often had to reverse the car to let other cars go by. This should be more strongly indicated in the listing, if a person was nervous reversing for quite some distances they'd really, really struggle - people need to know this is a factor in choosing this accommodation. Would consider re-booking in the future.

Booked this holiday for June 2020 moved dates because of covid advised no swimming pool but no mention of the building site we were about to enter. But if you check the Webb site now it does mention slight disruption now very disappointed and Sykes very hard to communicate with no compassion re the original booking. So we left 2 days early.

I thought everything in the cottage was of a very high standard, and if all your properties are of the same standard I would not hesitate to recommend them. Location unfortunately a little remote and accessible. The weather did not help.

The spa bath was a great treat as we only have showers .the setting is lovely even though building work is opposite and it will be on going for some years looking at the land available to develop, but even so this did not put us off . I would like to thank the owners for the quality of equipment , furnishings , decoration, bed and bedding , very well thought out thank you for a great week we hope to return soon

Cottage was clean and to a good standard. Only thing to note was DVD wasn’t working and there were lots of cobwebs on upstairs balcony. Well placed cottage for exploring. Enjoyed our stay

I was impressed with the level of detail attended to, and with the lovely cream tea welcome which was an unexpected and very welcome surprise. There were two things that might be considered as an improvement/ development. First: If the pool were heated this would be much better. Second: the design of the windows in the upstairs bathroom and bedroom, although beautiful, cannot be opened - including the blind), if you are in the bathroom and do not wish to be viewed in the shower/ on the toilet! Perhaps some way of at least putting in a one way back out filter may help, and would avoid having to use electricity to use the lights when not needed (if preference is to not ‘entertain’ any other visitors!) We would love to return - it’s a really beautiful place. Thank you so much.

Only gripe is that the pool was freezing so no one in there as weather was touch and go. Very close to local beaches and Dartmouth town which was lovely. The apartment was clean and well stocked with everything you could need, games, utensils apps on tv. Kate Smith

Situated in a fabulous spot, overlooking the tennis court, 2 Court Cottage is a two-storey property with a lovely first floor balcony, offering picturesque rural views.
This property was redecorated throughout in early 2021, along with replacement carpets.
The cottage has an impressive living and dining area, with sumptuous seating providing a comfortable space to relax in.
The lounge has a flatscreen SMART TV and DVD with cinema surround sound and a Bluetooth speaker.
The modern Shaker style kitchen is equipped to a very high standard (ceramic hob, fan-assisted oven, fridge, freezer, washer/dryer and microwave.) The cottage has a master bedroom with a King-size bed and TV (ground floor).
Beautiful en suite bathroom with whirlpool bath.
The second twin bedroom is on the first floor has the benefit of French windows onto the balcony.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town. For those seeking some beach activities, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blue Flag Award winner Blackpool Sands, and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular and just a stone's throw from Dartmouth. Plans are being produced to redevelop the previous swimming pool area during 2022, replacing it with an outdoor recreation area available for all year round use. We will provide further details when available.
The children’s play area has been fully redeveloped with a new climbing frame, slide and swings, which along with the tennis court remains open all year round. Please note - tennis rackets and balls are NOT provided.
Construction of eight new 3-bedroom properties and associated site works will be completed in the Spring. Further redevelopment is planned to commence during the Autumn. During the periods of property development Hillfield Village will continue to operate with as little disruption as possible, with continued access to the tennis court and play area.
