“Very disapointed and gutted to think after visiting Cottage View, Hope Cove, recently we were accused of damaging the glass hob on the cooker.”

Money was taken from my bank account without my say so, we are in our sixties, and would never cause damage like that to another person's property. Absolutely appalled. YES PLEASE publish my feedback.

We can only apologise you were upset that you have been charged for the damage at the property. The property was checked by a member of our team, the owner and also the long standing cleaner before your arrival and after your departure and unfortunately all parties, independently reported that the damage was done during your stay. You were made aware of the situation on the day of your departure. We do hope you understand why the Good Housekeeping Bond was used in this instance, we of course do not enjoy deducting any money from the Bond, however on rare occasions, when accidental damage occurs we do need to cover the costs incurred on behalf of the owner. About the location

HOPE COVE

Salcombe 4.6 miles; Kingsbridge 5.1 miles

The picturesque and unspoiled village of Hope Cove lies in the sheltered curve of Bigbury Bay on Devon’s south coast. A choice destination for families, the two beaches offering soft sand and rock pools for sandcastle building and fishing for small crabs. The town remains a fishing village where crabs and lobsters are still landed, however it was once used by smugglers. Many ships have perished around the coast and the wrecks that lie beneath the waves make it a popular spot for divers. Above the beach there are a number of pubs and restaurants. The coastal footpath can be joined from here and leads towards Bigbury-on-sea in one direction and the coastal resort of Salcombe in the other.

Second bedroom has twin beds which can be made into a super-King. Must be requested at time of booking.

Charging of electric cars is strictly not permitted

Up to two well behaved dogs permitted - they must stay on ground floor only. This is a £25 charge per dog per week.

Strictly No Smoking
