  • “We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Seagrass.”

There was everything we needed there, the view of the sea was lovely and we felt rested and comfortable. Walk to hope cove was easy with lovely places to eat and very welcoming to our dogs too would definitely come back.

The property

A newly reconstructed ground floor apartment with parking and sea views, furnished and equipped to a very good standard.

Set within a small holiday development (Thornlea Mews) the property is just a few minutes walk from the village pub, shop, nearby beaches and coastal path. A level entrance leads into a small hallway and direct access to the kitchen.

The kitchen is equipped with a range of base and eye-level units, four-ring electric hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge (with freezer compartment), microwave, and breakfast bar with four stools.

A lovely, spacious sunny open-plan room with views across the village and to the sea beyond.

The sitting area is comfortably furnished and very well-equipped with two double sofas and matching armchair, bean bag, coffee table, wooden desk with high-backed chair, flatscreen TV, 3D Blu-ray DVD player, and iPod docking unit.

The dining room has a large wooden table seating six, sideboard and wood-burning stove. The master bedroom has a King-size divan bed, with matching bedside units, wardrobe and drawers.

The second bedroom has two 2'6" single beds (that can be linked on request to create a King-size double), bedside units and matching drawers.

A mostly tiled family bathroom has a bath, electric shower (over), wash-hand basin, w.c.

and heated towel rail. Very spacious communal gardens.

Large parking area with space (unallocated) for one car - additional parking usually available in the village nearby. The accommodation is very tastefully presented and decorated and offers an excellent base for couples or young families (with or without a pet) looking to explore this popular location and the wider surrounding area.

About the location

HOPE COVE

Salcombe 4.6 miles; Kingsbridge 5.1 miles

The picturesque and unspoiled village of Hope Cove lies in the sheltered curve of Bigbury Bay on Devon’s south coast. A choice destination for families, the two beaches offering soft sand and rock pools for sandcastle building and fishing for small crabs. The town remains a fishing village where crabs and lobsters are still landed, however it was once used by smugglers. Many ships have perished around the coast and the wrecks that lie beneath the waves make it a popular spot for divers. Above the beach there are a number of pubs and restaurants. The coastal footpath can be joined from here and leads towards Bigbury-on-sea in one direction and the coastal resort of Salcombe in the other.

Second bedroom has two 2'6" beds that can be linked to create a King-size bed. This must be requested at time of booking.

Communal gardens.

One well behaved dog permitted.

Telephone available for local and incoming calls only.
