The property

Encompassed by gorgeous countryside and a short drive to the coast, 3 Rock Cottages offers a home-from-home for you and your loved ones in the South Hams district of Devon.

Boasting characterful charm and a homely feel, this terraced cottage is the perfect choice for a family trip to Devon, resting in the village of Kingston, near to St Ann's Chapel.

Step in through the door after a country walk and find plenty of space in the entrance for your wet coats and wellies, with the property home to a utility room containing a washing machine for any sandy or muddy clothes!

Feel right at home in the sitting room as the woodburning stove warms you, resting within the feature stone wall fireplace, and the TV entertains while you relax on the sofa.

Gather in the pretty dining room for quality time together tucking into a home-cooked meal prepared in the charming kitchen; discover all the appliances you need for rustling up your favourite dishes in this bright and airy space, including an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge and dishwasher.

Settle down in the evening within one of the lovely double bedrooms, providing the ideal set up for two couples or a small family as the cottage offers a cot and a highchair.

Spend sunny days in the enclosed rear garden, great for letting your canine companions stretch their legs safely and letting little ones play on the lawn before heading out on your adventures for the day.

The peaceful and calm setting of Kingston is superb for a relaxed rural break, with the feeling of being secluded and remote near to the sea, whilst within easy reach of further amenities and villages.

The village itself is home to a pub, The Dolphin Inn, whilst the nearest shop can be found in St Ann's Chapel and the award-winning Journey's End Inn is a pleasant walk away, great for a rewarding treat after a coastal jaunt.

The nearby beaches of Wonwell and Westcombe are both dog-friendly and can be reached via a pleasant walk, whilst Bigbury-on-Sea is a centre for exciting watersports including kitesurfing, windsurfing and surfing with local hire shops providing equipment and tuition.

While at this bustling seaside hotspot take a walk along the causeway at low tide to Burgh Island to admire the wonderful views of the Devon coast and seascapes, with the village's beloved 'sea tractor' bringing you to and from the island at high tide.

The South West Coast Path offers miles of path to walk whilst there are also plenty of places to walk inland within the South Devon AONB, there's plenty of choice!

Take a scenic drive over to Salcombe and Kingsbridge to discover more fabulous places, before returning to the comfort of 3 Rock Cottages, your ideal base for South Hams adventures.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £300.
