The property

The Manor Farmhouse at Fingals is a lovely old farmhouse with plenty of space surrounded by a mature garden, perfect for family and friends' holidays.

The Farmhouse has a tranquil feel, with old sash windows allowing light to flow in, along with inviting bedrooms, and quality mattresses, pillows and linens, plush sofas and bathrooms galore.

Built in the 1800s with the buildings on the grounds dating back to 1066, this gorgeous country house sleeps 12 guests making a perfect family retreat.

Choose from one of four king-size bedrooms, one with a mezzanine level with single bed and trundle for children available upon request, and two twin bedrooms with connecting doors to two of the king-size bedrooms to provide family rooms, offering the utmost in versatility, each with a convenient en-suite for seclusion and plush feather/down pillows and duvets with Egyptian cotton linen for a touch of luxury.

The Manor Farmhouse offers an easy-living, friendly home for all ages, with plenty of nooks and crannies for the less sociable to hide with a book, both inside and out.

When it's cold outside, underfloor heating in the kitchen, proper working shutters in the library, a panelled dining room, and a big fireplace in the sitting room keep things homely, and there's a library filled with books and board games and a delightful TV snug.

When the sun shines, you can step out onto the south-facing terrace from the kitchen, which is close to the garden; plenty of workspace and a large table allow everyone to participate.

The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need, including an outside hose for muddy equipment and dogs .

On balmy evenings, let the kids play safely outside while you relax in the peaceful surroundings.

DITTISHAM

Dartmouth 3.5 miles; Totnes 7 miles.

Dittisham is a picturesque village surrounded by rolling countryside, located on the banks of the River Dart in the South Hams. Wander along the quiet streets lined with quaint, stone cottages and lush gardens, until you reach the waterfront. Dittisham’s quayside is often regarded as the hub of village activity. Stop at the Anchorstone Café for a spot of lunch while taking in the fantastic river views. Try your hand at some crabbing with the kids on the dinghy pontoon. Visit the iconic pink Ferry Boat Inn (or FBI as it is known locally). Ring the bell for the ferry and head across the Dart to Greenway, the once holiday home of the renowned Agatha
Christie. For outdoor activities, there are sailing schools and boat hire also paddle board and canoe hire, as well as plenty of
scenic walks. The harbour town of Dartmouth is just a short drive away or ferry away, and offers an array of shops, a cinema, plenty of restaurants and even a castle.
