oscarposh “Third visit to this haven of stylishly presented tranquility..... sssshhh don't tell everyone!”

I am surprised I am the only person to have left reviews for Gillyweed and can only assume all the other guests are wishing to keep the secret from getting out that this is one very special place to stay. The stylish presentation is what sets this house apart and the location is just so idyliic with the water right outside the window. Watching the tide is so therapeutic. Being the third time we have stayed brings with it a pleasant feeling of knowing what we are expecting and we like ambling around Noss Mayo and Newton Ferrers. The Ship is the best pub in the area. Dartmouth and Salcombe never disappoint - two of our favourite haunts. The galleries in Dartmouth always seem to entice me to add to my collection of Richard Goodwin-Jones artwork and this visit was no exception. There are several of his pieces at Gillyweed and I now own another one myself. All in all, a wonderful visit and we look forward to our next - which we will be booking soon, just in case the word gets out and prevents us having the choice of dates........! Booked through Helpful Holidays - very easy and straightforward.
Welcome back to Gillyweed! I'm glad to hear that you had a lovely time once again and have passed your comments on to the owners. Although there are no other reviews on TripAdvisor, we do have several on our Helpful Holidays website for perusal, if you should ever like to have a look. In case many others do catch on to the loveliness of Gillyweed, we do offer quite a useful service you may not be aware of in which a property can be booked a year in advance, if not more. We simply take a £100 holding deposit on a provisional booking for you and if, when the time comes to confirm in the Autumn, you wish to change dates or cancel, that £100 is returned to you. Otherwise, it can be redeemed against the price of your latest holiday. Not to worry, however; we won't tell everyone. Shh. Owner relations
