    “A beautifully presented property, situated in a quiet road in Stoke Fleming.”

    Adequate parking for two cars. The property was very well equipped and felt very spacious. It had clearly only recently been renovated and everything looked very new. Good sized kitchen and sitting room, as well as a large master bedroom with ensuite, and one double and one twin room - both of which provided ample space. The property also has a fair sized back garden, laid mainly to grass. Stoke Fleming was a great place to stay as it is a lovely, quiet village, some 3 miles from Dartmouth, ...

The property also has a fair sized back garden, laid mainly to grass. Stoke Fleming was a great place to stay as it is a lovely, quiet village, some 3 miles from Dartmouth, without the bustle and fight for car parking spots. We have been slowly working our way along the South West coastal path and staying in a number of properties along the way, and this was one of the nicest we have come across. The only thing it lacked was sea views! I would strongly recommend staying at this property.

The property

38 Venn Park is a lovely, detached bungalow located in Stoke Fleming in this South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

With plenty of outdoor space, good facilities, and the best of Devon's beaches and countryside on your doorstep, the property sleeps six in three bedrooms, plus two well-behaved pets.

When you arrive down a peaceful cul-de-sac, you'll find off-road parking before climbing the steps to your new home from home.

Be greeted by a stylish, open-plan living space, sure to be the social hub of your staycation; prepare your favourite dishes in the fully equipped kitchen area, which has an electric range cooker, large fridge/freezer, and dishwasher.

As you set the dining table to toast to your retreat and catch up with loved ones over a hearty dinner, feel the warmth of underfloor heating on your feet!

The sitting area, which is tastefully decorated with artwork, cushions, and throws, is a snug space with two sofas where you can relax and watch a movie on the Smart TV, while the woodburner crackles close by; a spot your pet will undoubtedly love!

On summer evenings, open the French doors to let the outside in, and enjoy the last of the sun from the front terrace.

You'll also have your own private, back garden with lots of lawn space to run around with your dogs, dine alfresco, or relax with a good book.

Return to a spotless bathroom to freshen up after a day at the beach or a hike along the coast, whether it's with a bubble bath or a hot shower, while the heated rail keeps your towel toasty.

Make yourself at home in one of the three bedrooms, which include a master king-size with a Juliet balcony and a contemporary en-suite, another king-size, and a twin, all of which are well decorated and offer plenty of storage.

Explore your surroundings by heading into Stoke Fleming, where The Green Dragon pub and Radius 7 restaurant are perfect when you don't feel like cooking, as well as a village shop providing the essentials; pack your towels and head to the stunning Blackpool Sands, a Blue Flag and family-friendly beach for sunbathing, kayaking and a café.

Those seeking the great outdoors have gorgeous costal trails to explore, as well as Little Dartmouth, a National Trust nature reserve, and numerous quiet, sandy coves.

The ancient town of Dartmouth, with its 15th-century castle overlooking the River Dart, is nearby, while Paignton, with its attractions along Paignton Pier, Paignton Zoo Environmental Park, and sandy beaches, provide everything a family needs for a great day out!

If you want to learn more about local history, head south to Salcombe, which has a local Maritime Museum and the ruins of Fort Charles, but if that's not your thing, visit Overbeck's Garden for its subtropical garden and breathtaking views of the estuary.
