The property

Located in the very centre of the popular sailing town of Salcombe, this traditional cottage is less than a one-minute walk away from ferries to sandy beaches, boutique shops and fantastic restaurants.

Several rooms of this traditional terraced cottage boast views over the Salcombe Estuary and towards the sandy beaches at East Portlemouth.

With accommodation set over three floors, this cosy cottage offers a charming South Devon base.

On the middle floor is an open plan living, kitchen and dining room with estuary views.

This includes a well equipped kitchen, a dining area with a table and chairs seating six guests comfortably, and a comfortable living area with two sofas.

There is also a cloakroom with w.c.

on this floor.

Outside is a large decked balcony overlooking the estuary, furnished with a table and chairs for al fresco dining.

On the top floor are two bedrooms, both with estuary views.

The first has a King-size bed and an en suite shower room, and the second has bunk beds.

The third bedroom is on the lower ground floor and has a King-size bed.

In addition to the en suite is a family bathroom with a bath and shower over.

There is also a utility room with a washer/dryer.

Guests can enjoy the benefit of a private parking space in a central town location.

Set in an excellent position for exploring Salcombe, spend long days building sandcastles on the beach, or explore the South Devon coastline by boat or on foot, before returning to the popular town of Salcombe to make the most of fantastic pubs and eateries!

Kingsbridge 7 miles; Dartmouth 21 miles; Plymouth 24 miles; Paignton 26 miles.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
