    Salcombe is a lovely place to visit. There is alot of steps to climb to reach the apartment from the town. The whole building is in need of tidying up and secondary double glazing is a must.

Situated just short walk away from Salcombe’s bustling famous waterfront with its array of upmarket boutique shops, restaurants and cafes, this delightful apartment is ideally located for guests to explore the sandy beaches and spectacular coastal walks.

4 Glenthorne House is a pleasant and comfortably furnished two-bedroom, ground floor apartment within an imposing, detached villa which has been sympathetically converted in to seven holiday apartments.

A shared communal entrance hall leads to the front door and into a light and airy hallway from which all rooms can be accessed.

The large living area comprises of an open plan kitchen/dining/sitting room and benefits from wonderful views along the estuary towards South Pool Creek.

The spacious, well equipped kitchen has a range of units, appliances and a washer/dryer.

The adjoining dining area has an oak dining table and has seating for four guests.

The comfortable sitting area is furnished with two double leather sofas, coffee table, oak sideboard and a coal effect fire.

Two bedrooms in total: the master bedroom has an oak framed King-size bed and the second bedroom has two single beds.

Both have wardrobes and a chest of drawers.

There is a family bathroom with bath and shower over, plus a separate cloakroom with w.c.

Allocated parking for one car is provided in the private parking area which is located next to the villa.

4 Glenthorne House is a fantastic base for exploring Salcombe’s sandy beaches, walking the South West Coast Path, or trying watersports such as sailing, stand-up paddleboarding or kayaking.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
