The property

Superb bright and sunny, dog-friendly 19th Century detached cottage, decorated and equipped to a high standard with lovely views, situated at the upper end of Devon Road within walking distance to the heart of Salcombe, and only a ten-minute walk from North Sands beach. The beautifully fitted kitchen with Smeg combination gas/electric cooker, Belfast sink, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer and 'Smallbone' units.

A stable door leads out to a spiral staircase, leading to gardens and a terrace.

The large sitting/dining area has a glass-topped table and chairs for up to six people.

Stairs off the dining area lead to lower and upper floors.

The south facing lounge area has a large window and French doors out to the garden.

On the upper 'studio' level are two double bedrooms built into the roof space, both with double beds, one with a door opening out to small balcony with sea views.

The third bedroom is on the lower, garden level and has twin beds. On the studio level is a fully tiled bathroom with bath and power shower (over).

There is also a shower room at garden level with a power shower.

The property also has a cloakroom and utility room.

Outside, there are lovely gardens with lawn and a south facing sun terrace with table and chairs, and a barbeque.

There are parking spaces for two cars.

Equally suited to families or couples, the property is perfect for exploring the popular sailing town of Salcombe, with or without your dog!

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
