The property

Burleigh is located in a relatively quiet area of Salcombe, and only 5-7 minutes’ walk into town.

The harbour and estuary, popular with sailors and other watersports enthusiasts, is very close by.

From the master bedroom and sitting room there are good views across the town towards South Pool Creek and the Salcombe estuary. Stone steps lead up from the parking area to the upper ground floor, and into a lobby.

Stairs lead up to the living accommodation on the top two floors.

To the front of the property is a very comfortably furnished and spacious sitting room and good views.

There is direct, level access from the sitting room to both the master bedroom and kitchen.

The well equipped, open-plan kitchen/dining area leads out to a large area of decking, with access to an upper terrace and the terraced garden. Three en suite bedrooms; master bedroom with views towards the creak has a super-King size bed and en suite.

On the top floor (built into the roof space) are two bedrooms, the first of which has a double bed plus a single bed, and an en suite shower room.

The second is a twin room with two single beds (one 3’ and one 2’6” in width and therefore suitable for one adult and one child only) with en suite shower room. To the rear of the property is an area of decking with table and chairs.

Steps lead up to a lovely raised terrace with bistro table and chairs, and lovely views.

Barbecue available. Off-road parking directly off Coronation Road for one large/two small cars.

Kingsbridge 7 miles; Dartmouth 21 miles; Plymouth 24 miles; Paignton 26 miles.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
