“Property not v clean ( women’s shaver left in shower, and I cleaned the kitchen floor which was filthy) Couldn’t get the en-suite shower to work.”

Bed in back room ( en suite room) v uncomfortable. No sharp knives in kitchen and matches for BBQ ( not a problem as we got matches) but still… Lots of books and leaflets but all were very old… ( leaflets dated back to 2016) could be more up to date. The property listing did state only a washing machine so no dryer, but for a property with 8 beds near a beach, with low evening temps, beach towels didn’t dry off. Really felt this property would benefit from a dryer! Great table tennis in ...

The property listing did state only a washing machine so no dryer, but for a property with 8 beds near a beach, with low evening temps, beach towels didn’t dry off. Really felt this property would benefit from a dryer! Great table tennis in the garage. Beautiful pictures and sea/ beach themed art. Overall we had a wonderful holiday and my comments are 1st world problems- granted. I don’t like moaning but for a property costing £2063.00, I would have thought these issues would be addressed and facilities provided! We have booked next year for another property so fingers crossed.

I am extremely sorry that the house was not properly cleaned for your arrival. Our usual cleaner is excellent but unfortunately she was away and clearly her temporary replacement did a poor job, which is quite unacceptable. It was a shame though that you did not take up Coast and Country"s offer of further cleaning. I am very puzzled that you did not mention the issue with the ensuite shower to Coast and Country -as nothing was known about it until reading your review. This was a simple power outage and was easily rectified, and I am sorry you did not have the benefit of this shower during your stay as it"s a very good one. I will check the mattress in the back bedroom when I am down shortly. Likewise the knives although I didn't notice any problem with these when I was down a few weeks ago. We do usually keep matches in an upper cupboard for safety reasons but maybe they had gone walkabout. I am glad you had a lovely holiday and enjoyed the table tennis and the pictures in the house. The property

Harbourfield is a traditional semi-detached house arranged over three levels, extensively refurbished and equipped to a very good standard.

This lovely property is located in a quiet residential part of Salcombe, just a 10-minute downhill walk (steep in places) to the famous waterfront, boutique shops and restaurants. The property has very pleasant views, from the decking and rear bedrooms, towards Batson Creek and the countryside beyond. A light and sunny lounge is furnished with two large sofas and chair, perfect for sinking into after a day spent exploring South Devon.

Enjoy looking out at the pleasant bay window, overlooking the small front garden. The L-shaped kitchen/dining room is well equipped, with ample seating to sit eight comfortably.

In addition to a wonderful 2-oven AGA (only operational outside of summer months), there is a separate oven and hob to make cooking for loved ones that extra bit easier.

The open-plan kitchen/dining area leads out to a decking area, which is the perfect spot to enjoy freshly baked croissants from The Bake House on a sunny morning.

There are four bedrooms, all with plenty of storage. On the first floor is a master bedroom with double bed and en suite shower room. A second, larger double bedroom has a King-size bed, whilst the small single bedroom has a 3' bed. On the second floor is a fourth bedroom, perfect for children, with full-size bunk beds and an additional 3' single bed, plus TV.

For reasons of comfort the maximum number of adults per booking is 5. On the first floor is a family bathroom, whilst on the ground floor there is a cloakroom.

As well as the lower decking area, there is an upper decking area with table and chairs that boasts beautiful views of surrounding rolling countryside and the Salcombe Estuary. Off-road parking for two small cars or one large car (garage also available by request).

Additional road parking is available in this residential area. Garage is home to a full size table tennis table, crabbing equipment and some children’s beach supplies.

The property is ideal for a large family group or one/two couples looking for a spacious holiday home in a quiet position, whilst within easy reach of Salcombe’s amenities.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £200.
