    “The apartment was as described and was clean and tidy.”

    Just a few points to make: Roses in the vase were completely dead when we arrived indicating that the property hadn't been checked for days. Only two loo rolls - one in each bathroom were not enough for a week's stay. Only two dishwasher tablets for a whole week. No oven gloves - had to take things out of the oven with tea towels. No light in ground floor hall so pitch black when opening the apartment door. Car parked in space in front of front door made it difficult to enter with ...

This duplex apartment of Higher Cliftonville is located in the popular location in the centre of the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Salcombe, Devon.

Offering reverse-level lodging on the first and second floors, with excellent views over Salcombe and the estuary, the apartment is ideal for a family of six.

The property provides convenient permit parking; Take the stairs to the second level to find a lovely open-plan living room with views of the sea and a wall-mounted TV.

Head to the kitchen, which features white cabinets with sleek, oak worktops, as well as a decent assortment of gadgets for preparing tasty meals.

A washer/dryer and a fridge/freezer is located near to the kitchen for further convenience.

Dinner can be served at the dining table or out on the balcony, where you can dine alfresco while taking in the stunning sea and countryside views.

When the sun goes down, take the stairs to the first floor, where three delightful bedrooms await, including a king-size room with an en-suite shower room, a twin room, and a bunk room that is perfect for the youngsters.

Explore the charms of Salcombe, a quaint town with a gorgeous harbour that backs onto a hotel with a great spa, two delightful beaches, as well as access to the remnants of Salcombe Castle, Salcombe Maritime Museum, and the National Trust area of East Soar.

Salcombe also has a variety of cafés, bars, and stores, for extra convenience.

Enjoy the great outdoors by taking a walk around Snapes Point or travel down the South West Coastal Path to Overbecks, a lovely Edwardian house with beautiful gardens owned by the National Trust.

Travel north to Kingsbridge, a market town with a variety of unique galleries, independent shops, and the picturesque estuary.

SALCOMBE

Kingsbridge 7 miles; Dartmouth 21 miles; Plymouth 24 miles; Paignton 26 miles.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.

A parking permit is provided (unallocated space) is available in the long stay car park nearby. There is on road parking near the property, please note that restrictions apply in season.
