The property

Hillsbrook is a delightful detached house situated in an elevated position with wonderful views over East Portlemouth Down, South Pool Creek and the open sea.

It is approximately a 10 –15 minute downhill walk to Salcombe’s bustling town centre, with its array of boutique shops and restaurants. From the driveway, the covered entrance lobby leads to a spacious tiled hallway, from which is a utility room with laundry facilities and a separate shower room with cubicle, W C and hand wash basin. Stairs lead up to the first floor Master Bedroom. From the hallway, a delightful sitting room with large sofas, occasional furniture, 50” Smart TV and a coal effect fire with stone surround. A glazed door from the adjacent alcove provides access outside to the South facing garden at the rear. The large, modern and well equipped kitchen/breakfast room leads to a bright sunny Garden Room with a large contemporary dining table, chairs, sofa and occasional furniture. From the Garden Room there are full width Bi- Folding glass doors which can be opened, offering access to the sunny garden, Teak decking and Terrace areas with Teak dining table and chairs.

There is also a duel fuel BBQ. Three bedrooms in total, the first floor Master Bedroom has a King Size bed, en-suite with a bath, separate shower, wash hand basin and W.C.

There are sliding glass doors leading to a small balcony. On the ground floor there are a further two bedrooms, the first has a King Size bed with fitted wardrobes and the second has two Single beds. There is off road parking for 2/3 cars. WI FI available.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
