“We had another perfect week staying in Jot Cottage.”

The property has everything you need and in the perfect position for food shopping, parking and a pleasant walk into the town without the noise of the pubs at night. We have been coming to Salcombe every year for over 30yrs and have found the standard of the properties has improved beyond belief. We love Jot Cottage and will return. Sue

The property

Just a few minutes’ walk from the heart of Salcombe, as well as Batson slipway, Jot Cottage is a well presented 19th Century stone mid terrace fisherman's cottage, sleeping six people, and finished to an exceptionally high standard.

The cottage is accessed directly from Shadycombe Road, a quiet, residential area of the town, into a light and airy sitting room, comfortably furnished with two sofas and arm chair.

A stone fireplace with a wood burning stove is perfect for cosy evenings. Kitchen/ dining area is well equipped, with a 4-ring ceramic hob, double electric oven, upright fridge freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher and microwave.

Good sized dining table seats six people, whilst a door leads out to a rear garden and terrace area.

There is also a cloakroom off the kitchen. On the first floor are two of the three bedrooms.

Both of these bedrooms have a double bed and there are two bathrooms on this floor.

On the second floor (attic) is a further twin bedroom with 2'6 single beds.

In addition to the family bathroom on the first floor, with a bath and handheld shower there is a separate shower room. To the rear of the cottage is a good sized paved terrace with a table & chairs.

Parking is not provided at the property, however a parking permit is provided for the long stay car park which is only a very short walk away. For couples or families looking to enjoy all that Salcombe has to offer, this is an exceptionally well located holiday home.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £200.

About the location

SALCOMBE

Kingsbridge 7 miles; Dartmouth 21 miles; Plymouth 24 miles; Paignton 26 miles.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
