    “This is a beautiful house, situated very near to Salcombe town centre.”

    The kitchen is spacious and works well as open plan living, well equipped with all the gadgets you need to be home from home and plenty of crockery and cutlery. The two sitting rooms worked brilliantly as a child free zone and a play room. Amazing view from master suite and 2 parking permits were great! Thank you. We will definitely be back. The property

Leylands is a charming, late Victorian terraced house built for a sea captain with spacious, comfortable, family and baby friendly accommodation arranged over two floors, a short walk from Salcombe’s harbour.

Following recent refurbishments, the kitchen/dining room provides a beautifully presented, extended open-plan area, equipped to a very high standard.

Modern, attractive kitchen has a range of fitted units and granite worktops, plus Sonos 'Play 1' system.

Dining area seats eight comfortably.

Adjacent is a utility area.

Baby friendly equipment is provided. The lounge is a delightfully sunny room with picture bay window offering estuary views, whilst the cosy second sitting room has two large sofas and additional TV. There are four bedrooms, all on the first floor.

Master bedroom with wonderful estuary views has a King-size double bed and en suite with shower.

Second bedroom has two single beds.

A further double has a 4'6" bed, whilst the fourth bedroom - suitable for children only - has a set of bunk beds.

A recently renovated family bathroom (first floor) has a bath and shower (over), and on the ground floor is a newly designed tiled shower room.

Outside, to the rear of the house is a sloping garden as well as a furnished sunny terrace, complete with a barbecue.

A parking pass is provided for a reserved space in the Shadycome car park (3 minutes' walk).

Situated in a peaceful spot, within easy reach of Salcombe’s amenities and beautiful beaches, Leylands provides spacious, well-equipped family friendly accommodation.

SALCOMBE

Kingsbridge 7 miles; Dartmouth 21 miles; Plymouth 24 miles; Paignton 26 miles.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
