The property

Orchard Barn is in a quiet rural position, close to the head of Batson Creek, and about a 15 minute walk to the shops and quayside in Salcombe.

The property boasts lovely country views across the hillside to Higher Batson. Level access entry from the parking area leads into a hallway on the upper level.

On this floor are the three bedrooms.

Master bedroom has a King-sized bed and en suite shower room.

Second bedroom also has a King-size bed, whilst the third bedroom has one single bed.

All bed linen provided, however guests will need to bring their own towels, beach towels, tea towels and bath mats. In addition to the en suite shower room, the property has a family bathroom with bath and shower.

There is also a separate cloakroom with w.c., and hand basin.

The living accommodation is very comfortably furnished.

The lounge has sofas, a flatscreen TV and DVD player, plus an open fire – perfect for cosy evenings in.

There is also a door leading out to the rear courtyard, with patio furniture.

Ideal for al fresco dining in the summer, this is a wonderful spot for soaking up the South Devon sunshine! The traditional cottage kitchen is a very spacious room with a dining table and chairs.

There is also parking for up to three cars or boats. Sleeping up to 5 people, this property is perfect for a family or couples looking for a South Devon retreat, close to popular Salcombe.

SALCOMBE

Kingsbridge 7 miles; Dartmouth 21 miles; Plymouth 24 miles; Paignton 26 miles.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
