  • Mrs Parker

“It was a pretty and comfortable little cottage in a quiet part of Salcombe with lovely views of the estuary from our bedroom window.”

We parked our car at the car park

We parked our car at the car park (the park and ride) and didn't need it all week. We either walked, beautiful coastal paths or used the ferry or water taxis...perfect!

The property

Primrose Cottage is a former 18th Century fisherman’s property situated in the heart of Salcombe, just yards from the water and within easy walking distance of restaurants, pubs and boutique shops.

Salcombe’s beautiful, unspoilt sandy beaches can be easily reached via the tiny foot passenger ferry, whilst the nearby quayside is the perfect place for crabbing with the children!

The property has recently undergone a full renovation and is beautifully finished to a very high standard.

The cottage is accessed directly from the private terrace into a cosy, light and airy open plan sitting room with kitchen area beyond.

The kitchen is small but well equipped including dishwasher, with a drop-leaf dining table with four folding chairs that can be stored away easily during the day. There are two bedrooms - A master bedroom with double bed and attractive window seat, plus a second room with comfortable 3' wide bunk beds.

There is also a family bathroom with bath with shower over.

The sunny, paved terrace to the front of the cottage has a table, chairs and bench seat.

The long-stay car park is a five-minute walk away.

With views over the north bank of the estuary and the entrance to Batson Creek from the terrace and the living room as well as from the master bedroom, this fabulous property will suit couples or a family with two small children, looking for a comfortable base in the popular sailing town of Salcombe.
