The property

Shipwrights is a traditional, Edwardian terraced house with accommodation arranged over three levels, extended and fully refurbished to a high standard.

Located in a quiet mainly residential area of the town yet within a mostly level 5-10 minute walk of Salcombe's famous waterfront, shops and restaurants, the property offers estuary views from the garden and top floor double bedroom. Enter from the hallway to a small but cosy sitting room with feature fireplace and TV with integrated DVD player.

There is a very well designed open plan kitchen/dining/garden room area with super folding doors that open onto the decking and garden beyond.

Fully equipped with modern appliances, the superb kitchen provides stylish units, granite worksurfaces and every convenience you may require.

The garden area is furnished with a large oak dining table with chairs and along bench, sofa and easy chairs.

There are four bedrooms, first floor is a double room with King-size bed.

Also on the first floor is a bunk bed room (most suitable for children).

2nd floor (attic) level is a small twin bedroom with two single beds, and a double room with 4'6" bed.

Travel cot, highchair, stairgate and changing mat available.

On the first floor is a family bathroom with bath, shower (over) and on the second floor is a shower room. To the rear of the property is a good sized area of wooden decking with table and chairs and garden.

One well-behaved dog accepted until the end of April and from mid-September until the end of April. The property is an ideal base for one or two families or couples, set in a quiet location yet only a five minute walk to the centre of town, just five minutes walk from the boat park and five minutes more to find Salcombe's wonderful waterfront, shops and restaurants.

Kingsbridge 7 miles; Dartmouth 21 miles; Plymouth 24 miles; Paignton 26 miles.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
